“After trying in vain to get a taxi from Ashton to Leigh on a Saturday night around midnight - yes, I know I should've pre booked! I was told by 3 taxi companies that it was either a 40 - 60 min wait or that they wouldn't come that far. (Despite having come the previous week!) Very relieved when I rang 1st Choice and was told "It's on its way," Arrived within 5 mins with a pleasant, friendly driver. John if i remember correctly, who told me he was the business owner. Nice bloke, prompt and friendly service. Very happy customer!”

“Went on Easter Saturday as I had started to feel rough on the Thursday before with a very sore throat. Arrived just after opening at 8am with about a dozen people before me, spoke to a lovely receptionist who took all my details then asked me to wait in waiting area. I was triaged within 20 minutes and then called to see the nurse practitioner about 30 minutes later who confirmed tonsillitis and sent a prescription to my local chemist. Excellent service by really caring staff. Never once did they make me feel as though I should not have been there. Very grateful to them for looking after me so quickly.”

“I am so grateful for the care given my granddaughter who collapsed yesterday with her asthma after having to walk up from Boots who had really not been very nice to her over needing another blue inhaler. They lectured her about her asthma being unstable even after she explained to them she was awaiting a chest appointment with the asthma team. It was suggested she should be on oxygen therapy, a diagnosis they are not qualified to make. The Gentleman at Rowlands was wonderful with her a treated her immediately with 8 puffs which she needed. He was very up to date on asthma, kind and caring. The was patients needing assistance should be treated. Well done Rowlands!”

I spoke with a lovely member of staff called Paris. Staff were having difficulty refunding some Advantage points back to my card, when Paris took control of the situation and contacted Customer Services for me. She obtained updated information from Customer Services about my points, addressed the points refund discrepancy, and provided me with a till print-out of my points balance. Paris was efficient, patient and kind, and her Customer Service skills were brilliant. Well done Paris! Your friendly assistance was very much appreciated. Thank you, you are a STAR!”
