“Since this is my first time visiting this place, I thought I would share my experience. Nice clean place, with a relaxing atmosphere, did have a slight difficult ordering my food due to my speech implement, but the person who was serving me was patient and polite. The food was excellent and lovely. The only down side, was the parking, but lucky a friend showed me where to park. All in all, definitely recommend visiting 'The Old Bank Coffee & Wine'.”

“A little hidden gem in standish i happened upon today after the worst reception with a booked table at the Owls in standish. The crown saved my 85 year old disabled father and mother's treat of a lunch and our day. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food was absolutely fabulous from the lunch menu, portions are substantial so go on an empty stomach but definitely worth a visit. I will not forget this place in a hurry and would recommend it to anyone. Lovely lovely place.”

“As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a big smile and told to sit wherever we fancied. Straight away, the atmosphere felt dead friendly ☺️ Food: The food was bang on. Everything tasted fresh, and the chips? Honestly, the best I’ve had in ages – proper crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Oh, and the peas – proper traditional peas, like they used to be, made with fresh marrowfat. Portions were spot on, and it’s great value for money. I loved the specials like chicken curry and hot pot. They’ve even got calories on the menu, which stood out for me straight away. Service: The service was cracking, especially since it was just one person running the show. She kept everyone updated, saying stuff like, “We’re just waiting on chips for 10 minutes,” and she even apologised for the wait (not that we minded, fresh food is worth it!). Nothing was too much trouble – I even heard someone come in with a “weird” order, and she just sorted it, no stress. She made sure we were happy with our food, which you don’t always get these days. Atmosphere: This is what made it for us. Me and the husband both said it felt proper homely. Even with kids messing about, she handled it brilliantly, explaining how they should behave so no one else got disturbed. When it quietened down, she had a little chat with us, and she was so warm and lovely – made us feel right at home. Cleanliness: The place was spotless. She was constantly wiping tables and washing her hands before touching food. She even explained what she was doing and asked us to give her a minute – proper good communication. Overall: Alison’s is a proper hidden gem. It’s cozy, the food’s amazing, and the sense of community is something special. Honestly, it’s well worth a visit – you won’t regret it. Oh, and the tea? Comes in a proper mug – just like at home.”

“Absolutely amazing and quality food. Highly recommend the burgers, any are superb and especially the sweet chili chicken bites....wow!!!! I could just eat loads of those. Delivery is decent for timing, never had an issue and arrives as close to the time as possible, (astong traffic is terrible) but they live up to expectations. Never been inside so I cant rate for the service but I am sure its great.”

“This was my first time coming to Lily & Arthur’s and all I can say is, words won’t do it justice for how good it is! You have to go and experience the place for yourself!! When me and my partner went, we were received by a lovely and welcoming female waitress. Any help we needed in navigating the menu she was always on hand to help us. Also, for us, it was very refreshing to go in on Good Friday and see the waitress proudly wearing her cross necklace while serving. A little thing on top of everything else, but very much added to our experience. I got a sandwich myself and my partner got one of the toasties. Can I just say, I have never had so much goodness loaded into a Sandwich in all my life. It was incredible. The bread I believe is made from scratch so is beautifully fresh, and the filling inside the Sandwich is a very generous amount for you to enjoy! My partner had a toastie which was very tasty too, with a wonderful amount to enjoy. We loved it there, and would recommend the place to anyone! We can’t wait to go for lunch again but also go in the evening one time to experience an equally amazing evening menu too!”

I was a DJ for a party in the function room on 15 / 10/ 23.... lovely clean room with superb stage and high quality lighting.... the downstairs has great area for snooker and great TV,s for sports events..... for tour next event try this place its a hidden gem ... 5 stars . “Amazing food and wonderful staff. Restaurant is lovely. Marking atmosphere as 4* only due to how loud it was (which is to be expected) but I'm sensitive to noise and it affected my experience. Can't fault the staff, they were perfect. Whoever was working 5th Aug in the evening are awesome.”
