“A really lively community hub open until 2.30pm. The food is excellent whether its breakfast, lunch or a special ocassion. Staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.”

“Absolutely one of my favourite places to have some coffee and dessert. I came around tea time so it’s not that crowded. Price is reasonable, it’s around 3£-4£ for their cheese and mushroom toast; 2.5£-4£ for their coffee; and 2£-4£ for their pastries. Other than that, the portion is quite huge and the atmosphere is perfect for people to chill and chat. The owners are friendly and nice too! Highly recommended.”

“First visit to this cafe set within a motorcycle haven. We had not visited before due to parking for cars being an issue however a new car park across the road is now available. There is still the motorbike parking next to the cafe. Situated next to a lovely stream there is seating under cover outside overlooking the stream and wooded valley. Inside there is so much memorabilia you don’t know where to look first. We had just arrived after a large party so had to wait as the kitchen was very busy but we only waited 20 minutes till we could order. That 20 minutes flew by as we looked at the items on display. We have an all day breakfast and pie and chips. The food was very good and served quickly. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere in the family run cafe. The prices were really good and definitely value for money. Definitely recommend a visit and will be visiting again.”

“This is such a gem! We arrived when it was full and they managed to do something for accommodating us. The place was beautifully decorated for Easter. The menu has a diversity of breakfast and brunch dishes, good offering, plus lots of drinks. The ladies are very nice! Food was good and came in decent portions. Prices are average, all good for quantity, quality and service.”

“Went for lunch and I had chargrilled chicken rigatoni. My wife had pan fried salmon gnocchi and my son had sirloin steak. Not one complaint or critique!!! The food was absolutely gorgeous!! Worth every penny!!!”

“We have been coming to this cafe for a few months and we always feel very happy. We found it by accident .. but it is a very happy find. We're veggie but there is always something that works for us. We are big fans of quiche of the day and soup of the day. The service is friendly and the food's lovely. Thanks a million.”

“MRKT Cafe is amazing . First time back in chester for sometime but nothing was too much trouble. Service with a smile and a 11 item full cooked breakfast with a pot of tea was what was needed. We will certainly be back. Fantastic service and great food.”

“Fantastic cafe with a great variety of meals from light bites to carvery meals. The staff were really friendly and gave my kids a lot of attention which they loved. The outdoor play area is great, with a number of different apparatus. Would definitely recommend the Turkey and cranberry sandwiches.”

“Been here several times now and it has always been excellent. Had sandwiches, jacket potato and breakfast. All are good value for money. The hot chocolate fudge cake with ice cream is delicious. Yes service is slow, but at least you know your food is freshly made. Toilets and cafe spotless. Would definitely recommend”

“Good French food. I had the duck with cherry sauce and the café Gourmand. Very nice, service isn't fast but they cook food to order. Staff are helpful and the toilets are clean with nice toiletries. Great for foodies, maybe not the best place if you need to refuel fast and get back to the bargains. Good tip to check on their website before you go, I got a voucher with 30 percent off. And check when you order, it may not cover everything. Beautiful food.”

“Lovely Cafe. First thing you notice is how relaxing the atmosphere is, very peaceful and calm. Staff have friendly smiling faces and very welcoming. Ordered a Full English Breakfast, very nice, and prices aren't too bad.(you'd pay more for a McDonald's) Daughter said pancakes with strawberries and cream was very nice too. Recommend.”
