“Great pub to watch the rugby with excellent service from the team such a warm welcoming atmosphere. We ate food here and I would recommend the crab cakes and venison pie. Both were absolutely amazing! There new covered, heated garden is a brilliant touch and makes it easy to enjoy a drink outside year round. Highly recommend!”

“Great pub with an excellent selection of beer. Very friendly and welcoming. Moreover, the food at the resident kitchen, El Jardín, is excellent. Got the beef tacos and the special of the day, the ribs with the fermented pineapple salsa, and both were excellent. Planning on going back soon to try some of their other dishes, or just to have a pint.”

“The pub was truly nice and spacious, loved the tables outside, such a nice place in hot day. The staff was kind, talkative, happy to help. I've loved the signs , pets are welcomed,even though, they had inside dog treats in jar. I found it as a wonderful gesture and a customer was upstairs with a puppy. That was a sweetheart , thank you for great atmosphere.”

“After a crisp autumnal walk along the marshes, we spotted this gem of a free house. The sun was setting across the canal and we were parched. A treacherous journey across the bridge; we stumbled through the doors to find there were no draught beers, alas they had two of their finest cask ales to hand. We ordered two pints of the Fullers ESB paired with a packet of scampi fries. It was absolutely sublime. What a wonderful pub.”

“Had a Sunday lunch here a couple of weeks back. I had to have the all meats Sunday roast despite it being a hit summers day! It was fantastic. Meats were plenty full as were the roast potatoes which were cooked perfectly. Excellent value for money to. Drinks reasonably priced and a great selection. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Second visit and great both times. It’s basic this is reflected in the price. Comfortable bed, tv, toilet, shower and wash basin towels and toiletries. Free Tea and coffee making facilities in bar area. For a quick overnight stay just right. Space is limited added bonus if you book on their own website you get a free drinks voucher. ( as at 11/11/25) Good WiFi”

“This is a go to cafe and for once feels worth the money!! They had so many options on the menu - I went for a southern style breakfast and lemonade with mint and was very impressed! Generous portions (the lemonade comes with its own small jug so you get at least a few refills out of it) Lovely fresh produce it was an absolute banquet with a selection of jams and delicious bread. We also had excellent service from Jessie who was extremely patient and lovely to our group of 6! Also seems to be a very popular spot for people to do work on their laptops”
