“We spent a Friday evening here starting with axe throwing before going onto pool and then shuffle board. All of the staff were really friendly but one person in particular stood out - James. He is exceptional and helped ensure we had a really good time. He brings a lot of energy to the role and nothing was too much trouble. I think James in particular deserves some company recognition as he's an asset to the team. Great night and I highly recommend.”

“This is an exceptional restaurant. An absolute all rounder. We came here first because of the google reviews. Our first visit was in November 2024 and we were slightly worried we’d made a mistake as we observed the unfancy (but beautifully kept!) interior, and particularly spied the speakers on arrival. However, the entertainment (Tom Jones) turned out to be great fun, and the food was a revelation. I then went back for Whitney Houston night in January 2025 and the entertainment blew me away. And after a very tough Christmas, the food soothed my soul, and my girlfriends and I came away delighted. In summary: Great italian food is hard to find in London, and now having tried nearly everything on the menu by taking exclusive hire of the restaurant for a big birthday, I can confidently say that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in London. We booked the Whitney gals and they blew everyone away with their talent and joie de vivre. Quite simply, go here asap.”

“A Perfect Sunday Surprise! We dropped into Dawat on a Sunday night without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming — attentive without being intrusive. The food was absolutely excellent — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, there was a fantastic live band playing, which gave the evening an extra spark. Between the great food, friendly service, and the bonus live music, it turned into one of those spontaneous nights you don’t forget. A great end to our Diwali celebrations! Highly recommend!”

“Oh my word. My husband and I came here with high expectations for our anniversary. Firstly, a sincere shoutout to the friendly and highly attentive waitstaff. We reserved in advance (which I recommend doing as it gets busy!) and they had actually read my booking notes. In the notes I mentioned I was pregnant and so they double checked I was happy with the preparation and ingredients of certain dishes. The menu leans towards the spicy and salty side, but at the same time is very fragrant and aromatic. Quite addictive really! I’ve seen viral videos of that Tom Yam deluxe noodle dish so obviously we had to get it. It was delicious, but to my surprise, my favourite dish was their Naem fried rice. It’s been about a week since our visit and I’m still licking my lips thinking about it. To top everything off, we got a surprise scoop of taro ice cream. How adorable is that? Lots of love to Speedboat. We’ll be back, and definitely before our next anniversary!”

“What an incredible find! If you're looking for genuine Italian food made with passion, this is the place. The homemade lasagna, straight from a family recipe, was absolute perfection—rich, flavourful, and clearly made with love. The wine list was superb, and our server's recommendation was the perfect pairing. We finished with a fantastic dessert that was the ideal end to the meal. The best part was seeing the owner in the kitchen, pouring his heart into the food. That passion is the secret ingredient. We're already planning our next visit!”

“We went there for dinner on Friday night. The vibe was very chilled, beautiful interior in the inner part. We had beef cheeks (really nice and tender, good sized portion) and duck salad (good, but the duck was overdone). For the mains we had lasagna (decent quality, but a bit dry for my taste) and rabbit (very good). An amazing selection of Italian wines. The service is really, really friendly and very attentive. Overall, a nice local gem both for dinner or just casual drinks with some Italian cheese and meets. Would definitely go back.”

Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the Greek origins and stories behind several dishes, which really added to the overall dining experience. “Pistachios In The Park is simply one of the most charming, friendliest cafes that clearly takes no shortcuts in serving delicious food of the highest quality. Set in formal, tree-lined garden housing a naval burial site, playground and community centre, the cafe is ideallic for those who want a peaceful ambience. Make no mistake, due to its popularity, it can get very busy but you'll be spolied for choice with space as much as you will with what's on the menu. Ran by husband and wife team, Gary and Victoria and their wonderful team, you can rest assured you'll be met with a warm welcome, fun banter, and chit chat like youre one of the locals, (Even if you're not.) I personally come for the cooked full English breakfast but there is plenty of choice on offer! Everything from sweet pastries, more savoury snacks, all of which are homemade, delicious salads and variety of hot and cold beverages to wash it down with. All the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. If you fancy something that might not be obviously on the menu, the team will endeavour to make it for you (within fair reason, of course) If you've not yet visited Pistachios in the Park cafe, and you want someting a little away from the regular side of Greenwich, with exemplary quality, this is your spot. You wont regret it!”

“Brilliant local independent family run, proper old skool pub for drinkers. I'm lucky to live right opposite. Great atomosphere, always friendly. Nice seating area at the front. Very reasonable prices. Try it out! There is no food here, but some snacks and small bites sometimes. Now has a nice garden area at the back.”

“A must visit for anyone who wants to see our rich tradition of pubs in East London before it's too late. Don't just pose outside making TikTok videos, get yourself multiple pints of beer and make sure you have a good old chinwag with as many people as you can around the tables before getting hoofed out onto the cobbles at closing time. Piano night on a Monday is a great buzz. This place is the only pub I know in inner city London serving Crouch Vale and it's very nice. The ESB will also give you some old strong London flavours if you've never had it before. The staff are cool and I want to see this place stay the same for another 100 years.”

“The staff here were very friendly. I stopped by at the end of a long day in the city and had a very nice meal. I had a fantastic duck liver starter. The steak was delicious. The chips were triple fried and some of the best I’ve ever had. The pub is lovely. Well worth a trip here if you’re in London for a visit.”

“Stopped off for refreshments during our thames path walk. It's slightly back from the Thames. Good selection of craft beers.. Staff were friendly, and it was good to see that they used disinfectant between seatings as most pubs just take the glasses and forget to wipe. Hope to return so we can try out the menu as it read well and on seeing the food served to others in the pub it smelt good too.”
