“Popped into Star Cafe for a quick coffee yesterday and was met with friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. Came again this morning for Breakfast. Went for the super breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice and a caramel latte. The breakfast was big enough for me not to be able to finish, though the chips were an odd addition to me (as a Yorkshireman). The freshly squeezed orange was a delight, literally watched it being freshly squeezed from the fruit, which really makes the price worth it. Service was friendly and attentive, but not overly bothersome.”

“I had the pleasure of being served by Renata, and she was truly exceptional from start to finish. She greeted us with a warm smile, was attentive without ever being intrusive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive. What stood out most was her genuine kindness and professionalism. She made us feel incredibly welcomed. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond so naturally. Because of her excellent service, our dining experience was absolutely wonderful. Renata is a true asset to the restaurant, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. “Booking recommended! My mum and I have visited Crews Hill at Christmas time for the past 10 or so years and have always finished off the day's shopping at the garden centres by having a well deserved dinner at the Plough. Staff were friendly and the food was excellent. My burger (cheese and bacon) was cooked to perfection! Chips were fantastic too. I also had the side of onion nests which I can highly recommend. Will be back again next year!”
