They are all precious gifts, I would only entrust another person or organisation that had the same expectations, values and standards as myself, if not higher. From the moment I viewed Lily’s Retreat in 2020 & met Louise I knew this would be the perfect place to leave my cat after lockdown. Almost four years on I have to say I haven’t been disappointed an iota. She is loved, cared for, pampered, fed & watered perfectly. I know this as when she returns home she comes back as a very happy bunny.”

“Came for a viewing beforehand and I honestly wasn’t too sure, mainly with the length of time they’re alone overnight without access to outside - it seems like this might be standard practice in kennels though. BUT, it seems like he had a good time. It was my first time boarding my 8.5 year old dog (he’s done daycare and stayed overnight with sitters, just not kennels before). He ate his food which was a surprise, but a good sign. I chose Haytor because of the ability for him to play with other dogs. My dog is nervous with new people, but he gains confidence around other dogs. The drop off felt quite like I was being rushed a bit, but this could just be because they’re aiming to spend as much time as possible with the dogs. It would be great to see photos of them whilst there, through Instagram stories for example (although it seems super busy so that might not be possible). I emailed to check on him in the afternoon and got a response the following morning, which was fine. An option to drop off at the daycare time, if your dog is social, would be great too instead of just 10-12 or 2-5! Especially on a Saturday overnight as you do end up paying for two days for around 24 hours as there are no afternoon pickups on a Sunday, so a single sat to sun overnight comes out quite expensive that way, though I understand different kennels have different booking setups. Overall, my dog came back happy, he ate and although very glad to see me, didn’t seem too bothered by his stay. Would recommend to anyone who feels their dog would benefit in a kennel environment from having other dogs around them! Will use Haytor kennels again for my dog. “A late review considering I've been entrusting Brian and his family with my cat for a few years now. But I just wanted to say that Banstead are brilliant - Brian kindly collects and returns my cat at all hours of the day which is so helpful as I don't have a car and am usually rushed off my feet trying to get organised to travel. I leave him several times a year with Brian and he always comes back happy, relaxed, groomed and well fed. So thank you for providing a flexible and caring service that gives me peace of mind. In fact, sometimes I wonder if he prefers it there.....!”

“My dog actually enjoys his groom here. My only complaint is that they are so popular that I often have to wait a couple of weeks to get my dog booked in for his groom! He always comes away looking really dapper and they recommended in the summer that I have him clipped for the hot weather and he loved having such short hair.”

They stock a wide range of different dog food in various sizes and I have never not been able to buy the food I need. They stock a wide range of healthy treats for pets, which is great as my dog loves treats! The staff are always friendly and helpful. Every time Pickle comes back looking (and smelling) amazing - and you know the team really care about the dogs they are looking after! They especially understand different breed styles - which as a Cavapoo owner is the different between a teddy cut or coming out looking like a skinny poodle!! “Linda took great care of our two 3 month old kittens, Tally and Skye for three weeks. That was the first time we used a cattery and Linda send us daily updates and videos, which helped us to relax on our holiday. We felt at ease the moment we arrived as Linda is very caring and professional. She made the suggestion to swap the scratching post in the room, as one of the kittens chewed already on the carpet after 5 minutes. As they were full of energy, Linda made sure that they had extra playtime in the corridor and gave them extra toys. :-) I can highly recommend the cattery and Linda. “Discovered this beautiful little place on a motorcycle ride out. We met there on a Wednesday evening and there were lots of different types of bikes. The owners were really sensible about parking and exiting the venue. There is a bar there and menu which catered for fast food on such a busy night. I revisited the place again on Sunday and had a burger and chips. Great service and really friendly crowd. Lots of activities based here, including paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and small motor boat hire. Definitely going again on Wednesday and probably Sunday again too.”

“Have become a repeat customer! Super happy with the service at Mutts n Moggies. We were recommended this cattery by our vets (Family Friends Vets) and they were not wrong about how great it is! My cat had his own pen, perfect given he is an indoor cat and used to being alone. The pen was super clean when I came to pick him up and he seemed content to stay there. Will definitely be using this cattery again! To take this beyond the 10/10 service offered, I would be really keen to see a discount for those with Family Friends Vets, or a reward system where the 8th visit or something is free. But honestly, it is a great service as is for cats :)”
