“Went to Macaroni’s for a dinner out with friends. Food was very well cooked and presented, the pasta sauce absolutely gorgeous. Paired with a refreshing rose, made for a lovely end of week. For dessert had pana cotta, which was good but not mind blowing (in fairness, the dessert itself isn’t mind blowing, so really not the restaurant’s fault). It’s a cozy place for a meal, good atmosphere to go with friends and have a chat and a laugh while enjoying food and a nice wine.”

“We had miso soup, chicken teri don, and chicken teriyaki soba. Generous portions, good flavour, and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and quick. It’s always busy, but the wait’s never long. Not the quietest spot, but perfect for a quick, no-fuss lunch. Been coming here for years—still just as good every time I’m back in London.”

Saying that , I find the portions perfect - I’m a local and this is one of my favourite restaurants locally - it’s like walking into a hug. “We had such a fantastic time at The Rose that I feel compelled to share it. From start to finish, the experience was faultless. The food was outstanding – the scotch eggs were perfection: crisp and golden on the outside, with a beautifully soft centre, and seasoned just right. The chips were the kind you always hope for in a pub but rarely find – hot, perfectly cooked, fluffy inside and wonderfully crunchy on the outside. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and done with care. What really elevated our visit, though, was the service. Our waitress, Alice, went above and beyond to make sure everything was spot on. She was warm, attentive, and genuine – always checking in at the right moments without ever being intrusive. She made us feel completely welcome and added such a personal touch to the whole evening. It’s rare these days to find a pub that gets everything right – great food, great atmosphere, and truly exceptional service – but The Rose absolutely nailed it. We’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be recommending it to friends and family without hesitation.”

“We arranged a private screening for our daughters birthday, and could not have been happier - it was excellent value for money, booking was easy online and then the events team followed up shortly after, we pre-ordered food and drinks and upon arrival on the day the staff called the manager down to greet us who went through all the details. He gave us a tour, arranged for tables to be put out for the snacks, had the snacks all made and put out before the guests arrived and was on hand if we needed anything throughout the screening. We will definitely look to do that again in the future, it was a great experience! Thank you so much for making our daughters birthday one to remember!”

“A regular pit stop when shopping in Selfridges.. Fab wine bar with a great selection of gins and cocktails. I had a lovely spicy Bloody Mary today which had a smoked jalapeño vodka, fino sherry and a spicy tomato juice.. it was delicious. I also ordered the tart of the day. Which was a mushroom tart and was delicious. Great atmosphere Friendly staff Good bar snack menu Reasonable prices. Highly recommended”

After our first delivery was unfortunately cancelled, Abdi personally stepped in, prepared the pizza himself, and made sure it was delivered to our home exactly as promised. His dedication, professionalism, and work ethic really stood out. What impressed us most was his communication — clear, proactive, and genuinely reassuring throughout. Abdi is a real star, and the Pizza Tonight team must look after and value such an exceptional team member. Abdi is truly a hard-working manager and a real credit to Pizza Tonight. “Guests came from canada and had a layover in the UK. Took them here for breakfast: Got the Haleem- absolutely divine. Never had such good Haleem before. Chaane were heavenly and tasted so authentic. The naan was so crisp but soft in the middle, tasted soo good with the Chaane and Haleem. The chai. The chai. It was so good. Added 4 moons onto the whole experience. “We really enjoyed our first meal at Crispy Dosa. We ordered pani poori, bhel poori, Mysore Dosa and mix veg uthappam. Service was excellent, food was delicious, and the portions just right. Our daughter (4) and son (10months) liked the pani poori and uthappam best (their first time having these dishes). Dad's dosa was too spicy for them but was enjoyed by the adults so quickly I didn't take a picture! Atmosphere has a nice chilled out canteen vibe, and we were the only table at the time.”

“as a vegan with family who is not vegan, it is hard to find non-vegan restaurants that can actually cater to vegans. pastaio have done this excellently with their extensive plant-based menu. our host recommended which vegan dishes and wines we should order, the staff went out of their way to make sure we were attended to, it was lovely and i am definitely coming back here again to bring my vegan and vegetarian friends who want good italian food!!”
