“Simply Stunning!! Valentines afternoon tea for all the family, we visited as a family age range 3y-68y and there was something for everyone. The food was fresh and extremely tasty, the venue itself was beautiful so special and has perfect photo opportunities and the service was outstanding it felt very personal with lots of extra special touches. “Really, really lovely pizza in the evenings. Possibly the best in the Crystal Palace / Penge / Beckenham area? Don't let the front of the shop fool you, there is a lovely dining area in the back with a live grape vine covering the ceiling. With the peak summer evening heat and some Europop being played it was almost like being on the Mediterranean! Seems like they prefer people to book in advance, but they accepted our unannounced group of five, and we all seriously enjoyed our food. Definitely going back.”

Make no mistake, due to its popularity, it can get very busy but you'll be spolied for choice with space as much as you will with what's on the menu. Ran by husband and wife team, Gary and Victoria and their wonderful team, you can rest assured you'll be met with a warm welcome, fun banter, and chit chat like youre one of the locals, (Even if you're not.) I personally come for the cooked full English breakfast but there is plenty of choice on offer! Everything from sweet pastries, more savoury snacks, all of which are homemade, delicious salads and variety of hot and cold beverages to wash it down with. All the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. If you fancy something that might not be obviously on the menu, the team will endeavour to make it for you (within fair reason, of course) If you've not yet visited Pistachios in the Park cafe, and you want someting a little away from the regular side of Greenwich, with exemplary quality, this is your spot. “Ended up here spontaneously on our second date, and it turned out to be the best decision because wow, the food did not disappoint. We ordered the Meat Supreme, and it was incredibly crispy without being too doughy. I genuinely wish I could experience that first bite all over again. The ranch sauce was a bit rich on its own, so something spicy to cut through it would’ve been perfect. The turnover is quite fast, as people tend to eat and leave, so seating wasn’t an issue even on a Saturday. The staff were also really friendly. I can’t wait to come back.”

“This is an exceptional restaurant. An absolute all rounder. We came here first because of the google reviews. Our first visit was in November 2024 and we were slightly worried we’d made a mistake as we observed the unfancy (but beautifully kept!) interior, and particularly spied the speakers on arrival. However, the entertainment (Tom Jones) turned out to be great fun, and the food was a revelation. I then went back for Whitney Houston night in January 2025 and the entertainment blew me away. And after a very tough Christmas, the food soothed my soul, and my girlfriends and I came away delighted. In summary: Great italian food is hard to find in London, and now having tried nearly everything on the menu by taking exclusive hire of the restaurant for a big birthday, I can confidently say that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in London. We booked the Whitney gals and they blew everyone away with their talent and joie de vivre. Quite simply, go here asap.”

The homemade lasagna, straight from a family recipe, was absolute perfection—rich, flavourful, and clearly made with love. The wine list was superb, and our server's recommendation was the perfect pairing. We finished with a fantastic dessert that was the ideal end to the meal. The best part was seeing the owner in the kitchen, pouring his heart into the food. That passion is the secret ingredient. We're already planning our next visit!”

“We went there for dinner on Friday night. The vibe was very chilled, beautiful interior in the inner part. We had beef cheeks (really nice and tender, good sized portion) and duck salad (good, but the duck was overdone). For the mains we had lasagna (decent quality, but a bit dry for my taste) and rabbit (very good). An amazing selection of Italian wines. The service is really, really friendly and very attentive. Overall, a nice local gem both for dinner or just casual drinks with some Italian cheese and meets. Would definitely go back.”

“Cassio is the kind of restaurant that makes you feel like you’ve just discovered a hidden gem..even though it's clear they know exactly what they’re doing. We came here for a date night and left already planning our return. We started with the Avocado al Granchio Gratinato, which was super rich, flavourful, and unique. For mains, the Pappardelle dello Chef was silky and indulgent, while the Grilled Mixed Fish special was fresh, expertly prepared, and perfectly paired with a bottle of Falanghina. In terms of service, our waiter, Antonio, is an absolute legend. Funny, attentive, effortlessly charming, the man has it all..he brought an energy to the evening that elevated the entire experience. Like a shot of espresso in human form, he added just the right amount of flair without ever overstepping. He alone is worth the return trip. Between the warm, homey atmosphere, fantastic food, and exceptional service, Cassio ticks every box. It’s rare to find a place that nails every element of a night out, but this one does. We’ll definitely be back.”

“We went around 7:15 PM for dinner, it was quite at the time, mostly empty. More people joined afterwards but was not overly crowded being a Wednesday night. Service was prompt and food was excellent. We are vegetarian so ordered only vegetarian food and both the items from mains were good. We also ordered two deserts and they were good too. It had calm vibes of small town Mexican dinner.”
