“My first squash Club in London, although the squash court floors could do with some upgrades the club and the members are more than welcoming and friendly, and the level of players is very high. I thoroughly love my time in the club so far, very easy to make friends. Really makes you feel at home and wanting to be there everyday just to meet more people.”

“Our son started swimming lessons at Poolside Manor just over a year ago. He was 3 and a half and had only been in a swimming pool on holiday, splashing around the baby pool or holding us tight in the big pool. When he started I wasn’t sure he would get in to the swimming pool without a parent with him, but the staff were so lovely to him, giving him the confidence to just walk off and he went straight into the pool without us, while we watched from the parents area. His swimming teacher is Francesca and she is absolutely amazing, we can’t thank her enough. She has pushed him (within his ability) and he can actually swim and is doing far better than I ever imagined one year on. Francesca is encouraging and patient and explains everything to the children in a way that makes his lesson engaging and fun. At the end of each term they have a fun swim session with pool toys and floats which he absolutely loves. The whole team, especially Vicky are wonderful and so lovely to the children. We couldn’t be happier with our son’s progress and that’s mainly down to Francesca. Even the reception team are great, Sharon is wonderful and so accommodating when we had to change swim days. They are all so helpful and the clean changing rooms and spacious car park also help to make for a lovely swim session experience. Thank you Poolside Manor, it’s an amazing swim school and has enabled our son to accomplish an excellent life skill.”

“Amazing venue with amazing staff . We know the venue well so were happy to book the venue for a 70th birthday party. We booked the Glindon Room as this was on the ground floor and perfect for our guests as some were in wheelchairs. Preparation for the event was really easy and managed by George. Everything was perfect on the day, the room looked lovely, the buffet was fabulous and the staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. “I recently joined the gym at Wandle Recreation Centre and have been thoroughly impressed! The gym has a fantastic junior session that encourages kids to get active in a supportive environment. The staff here are incredibly helpful, and I want to give a special shout-out to Kim, who went above and beyond to assist us during the sign-up process. Her patience and knowledge made the experience smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this gym as a wonderful space for families looking to get fit together!”

“We just had my son’s 9th birthday here and it was great! So many things to do, the kids loved it! Fahad was our party organiser and he was lovely. He made sure it went really smoothly and helped us with the food and timings. Really polite staff. We were in the fantasy room with the tree chair and the kids loved it. Very easy on the 58 bus from Leyton. The 11am party slot was not at all busy and I found it pretty clean actually! Thanks again Fahad, you were brilliant!”

“I love this place. I have a membership, and it has a huge amount of classes for fitness to choose. The pools are huge indoor and outdoor. Staff are friendly, and fitness teachers are amazing. Better is a great gym, and I would recommend it to everyone. During summer you can use the Lido pool and have yoga, aqua aerobics outside. There is a car parking with lots of spaces. If you are a member of the gym, you can pay a fee of £5 at the staff desk and your Registration will be added to the Council list and you will have up to 4h free in the car park for a year.”

“Lovely pool, it is split into a main pool and learner pool so that’s nice for swimmers. Lane and general swim available. My daughter has swimming lessons here and the standard of teaching is high. The kids are pushed enough to be competitive but not so much that it’s negative competition. There are windows down two sides of the pool so when the sun is low you get beautiful dappled light in the water which feels lovely to swim in. One of the most unpretentious swimming pools around! Check it out next time you want a swim!”

“Great staff, very accommodating and friendly. Hydropool and main pool could be a bit hotter at times but some people like it cooler so you can't please everyone. Shannon is absolutely brilliant and is on top of everything, the hydropool is always hot when she is around which helps with my back problems, when she is on shift, she is on top of everything and you can count on things to be tip top shape. Never a dull moment.”

“Really friendly staff all around, from in the gym to the receptions to life guards. Facilities have always been clean and car park is usually full when I go, however there are always people coming in and out, I find usually on the hr is when spaces open up, at 11 at 12 at 1 etc.”

“I had my son's swimming party here and it was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and the pool looked amazing with the sensory lights, swim toys and music. “I’ve been a member at Fitness First for a while now, and I absolutely love it. The classes are challenging and fun, Jamie’s SPARR classes, in particular, always push me to go beyond what I thought I could do, and are so much fun, I tend to attend every week! I also do personal training sessions with Mo, who is great and very professional. He always motivates me to push myself and improve, and I can really see the progress I’m making. The staff and other members are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the atmosphere so positive and enjoyable.”

“Great place to come, a large space with a swimming pool, library and gym, as well as a cafe. The pool is a reasonably big one where they sometimes run classes and there is also a kids pool next to the main pool. The gym is also pretty big, with lots of running machines and lots of different sections. The library has books for all ages and in all different categories of books. I recommend coming here.”
