“I had the most amazing experience at Rock and Rose in Richmond. The food was great - my friend and I ordered the crispy tempura shrimp, the chicken milanese, the lamb leg steak and sticky toffee pudding for dessert - can't fault anything, tasted amazing! The drinks were delicious too, the bartenders put on a whole show for us and it added to the experience. The staff were all so lovely and hospitable, I loved the decor and ambience inside and it was super packed which goes to show how popular it is. Thank you so much for having us, this place is a hidden gem for sure! Can't wait to return ✨️”

“I went to 144 On The Hill on Saturday evening and had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food was absolutely delicious — beautifully presented and full of flavour. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout. I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxed yet classy dining experience and would love to visit again soon.”

The warm welcome lured us in and we were not disappointed. Recommendations for drinks, a very well looked after 9 year old and plates finished. Not residents of London but frequent visitors. “Had a lovely stay. The room was great, such a comfy bed and air conditioning was great. The spa was amazing especially loved the garden really unique and made our stay memorable. Food was great also even though we ordered super late!! Whole place smells amazing as well. Friendly staff also.”

“It’s a very nice place for a cup of coffee. We sat inside, enjoy the view of nature through glass. The seating arrangement is spacious, feeling very relaxed after long walking in the Kew. Cappuccino is creamy and smooth. We ordered French fries but have to wait until 12:00, very generous size and fresh. Will definitely come again.”

“By far the best pub in Richmond. We regularly go to the Mitre, as they serve really fresh cask ales that change regularly. They also serve fantastic pizza’s where you can choose your own toppings or have the monthly special. We often get the dough balls as they are the perfect accompaniment to a few pints! Definitely get down there if your in the area!”

“This place deserves much higher review points. Everything is perfect. Literally perfect It has been around many years. Feels so cosy with carpet and cushion decoration. Lighting and music really on point and good. Really helpful staff. Enough time between the meals. Had beef tartare and tempura squid and prawn as a starter. Burger and beef stroganoff for main. Cost around £60 per person inc service charge which is really reasonable for the quality they are providing. Thanks”

“Went there for lunch. Aged ribeye steak and chargeilled chicken breast are delicious. Lunch menu has a lot of choices. Good food and atmosphere with nice music. Gelato is yummy.”

“We got a takeaway for a family of 6. We love the huge portions, and generous amount of chips. Really cannot fault anything... It is also very nice that they also offer grilled options, on top of their selection of battered deep-fried goodies. Everything is delicious!”

“We came for a "proper Sunday roast" and it did not disappoint! The food was phenomenal and service equally wonderful. We split a beef roast, mussels and smoked salmon pate for our family of 3. We finished with the Christmas pudding. It was more than enough and each dish was spot on! The staff were friendly and attentive and the ambiance was everything one would hope for an English pub. Highly recommend!”

“Amazing serving and amazing food. I had the penne salmon and it was melt in your mouth good! The house wine recommended was good as well. I didn’t taste the pizza but during my visit there it was a hot commodity and smelled amazing. Make sure you visit!!! It’s worth it”

“A neighbourhood pub, that we have frequented over the years. I love the homely, cosy interior, and the staff are very lovely. Often just to have a drink. But we recently discovered that they also do pretty good food. Portion sizes for the dishes are also generous. They provide snacks to nibble on as well like toasted bread and butter, and veggie crisps. But one thing to note is that this is not somewhere you go if you are in a hurry. It looks like they have a very small crew. The food service is very slow, we were waiting for about an hour before our main courses showed up, even when the pub was not even full, and we had come in off-peak times.”

“It was a stupidly hot late June day and as we were traveling back from Hampton Court Palace, we met a local whose parents also happened to be staying at the same hotel (The Selwyn) as us. We were on the last leg of four straight weeks of international travel and safari…we were EXHAUSTED and wanted a good simple dinner super close to the hotel and The Red Cow was recommended to us. The bartender was awesome, but made my day when he noticed how hot and tired we looked and brought me a pint glass filled to the brim with ice, to go with my fruity cider I was trying. Divine! Small gesture, big impact. Enjoyed a delicious dinner, football match on the tv, and we’d stay here instead of The Selwyn next visit. Also, don’t recall the name of this drink he recommended, but it was perfect at the end of a long, hot day. Thank you!”

“Visited for Sunday brunch today, 10/7/22 and it was fantastic. Staff were lovely and efficient and it’s a really nice venue. Not sure why it isn’t busier! The brunch was brilliant. I’d definitely recommend the mushroom marmite eclairs - they’re addictive! Will definitely return.”

I loved the pizza and pasta we shared - sorry no photos of the Ndjua pizza or sage / butter ravioli as we were too busy eating it! Would highly recommend- avoid the tourist traps and go here. “By far the most most accommodating pub for private events!! We recently had our Christmas party hosted at The Victoria Inn by the most incredible staff, Emma and Ian. They welcomed our vision with open arms, allowing us to take over the full pub inside and out! Applying graphic to the outside of the pub, renaming the pub for the night, dress and theme the inside, provide our own entertainment (musical bingo singer and a DJ!) and even wore branded t shirts all evening, all with a smile! The planning process with Emma was seamless, she has the best ideas and wants to make your private event so special. This shows, our guests couldn't stop raving about the homely and friendly atmosphere. I'll undoubtedly be choosing The Victoria Inn for future private events - the best venue for an unforgettable night - thank you!!”
