“My favourite ironmonger. Everything is well laid out, the shop is always spotless and gleaming, the prices are marked and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. I have been coming here for cleaning products, lubricating oils, paints, tools, lamps, lights, bulbs, wicks, naphtha, chimney flue cleaners, fixtures, fittings and batteries - probably more stuff than that which I've forgotten . . . like really, really long matches! Anyway, a great shop, a great place to shop and a great way to shop - I'd never get the same service on-line.”

We discussed my blood tests from last year in preparation for some blood tests this year and he added some additional tests for kidney and liver. He was also good enough to discuss my issues with ganglion cysts as well as some facial skin issues and has provided some creams for me to use. I was very pleased with the consultation. I always feel confident after these consultations. Colleen, the hygienist, took care throughout her work and was gentle but thorough. It is always a pleasure to talk with Neena, the Head Receptionist, who is committed to making the patient experience as good as it can possibly be. She is competent, gentle and kind. “My bulb in my car needed replacing. As Halfords was so close to my work I popped in during my lunch break. Everyone had obviously had the same idea. It was busy, however the staff were so helpful and professional and organised. Sam the colleague who dealt with me was lovely, helpful and reassuring. It was a large heavy item and both men took great care to get it safely into my house. They did a really good job. Thankyou. I will certainly I will be back to visit the Centre. “Good ole Waitrose. Got everything you need albeit I don’t do my full weekly shop there. Grab a few bits and a free coffee and always good service from the staff. Highlights for me are Fish Friday, bakery discount in the evenings, wine selection and top quality meats and veg for when you are cooking something special.”

“I have been coming to Barnet auto centre since moving to the area in 2020. Their customer service and prices are very reasonable and being a female driver, there's always the possibility of mechanics ripping you off. However, with this garage there's no need to worry about that.”

“Went in on 25.02.2025 to have a punctured tyre fixed. The gentleman informed me that a small puncture can be fixed without replacing the tyre and the two prices. Having looked at the tyre and its condition, he told me that's better to replace than fixed. I had a looked qt the tyre and agreed with him. I asked him to at my other tyre (both rear) and it was as bad as the other even though the threads looks good. It's the split along the groove and ruts that told me to have it changed. He did not pressure me to change at any one time. A frank honest man!”

I needed some wood cut for a changing unit and he found the best way to cut the wood to fit it all together, helped my dad and I load the trolley, and then helped us process a refund and gave us a discount! “The Oak is a fantastic Chinese takeaway, I've never been to the restaurant itself but every time I have ordered from them it has been a fast delivery and always a friendly face. The food is exceptional and the portions are quite generous (if you're missing the Hot-Wok that closed on colney hatch lane a few years ago this is a perfect alternative). Overall great food and a lot of different menu options, highly recommend.”
