“We visited on a Saturday and took advantage of their excellent 2 courses lunch set menu which is priced at under £20. The restaurant is on Dean Street and well situated in the heart of busy Soho. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The cuisine is French and offers a flavour of the French Bistro and Brasserie. The menu is quite extensive and offers traditional French dishes. We really enjoyed both the starters and the mains that we ordered especially the Sauteed Lamb Kidneys, the Grilled Mussels, the Beetroot Gratin. For the mains we can recommend Spinach and Mushroom Gruyere cheese open Pie, the Beef Bourguignon as well as the Pan Fried sesame crusted Tuna Steak as well as the Chargrilled Entrecote Steak. All the food was very good, being tasty, seasoned and well presented. The staff were also very friendly, efficient and helpful with the menu. The ambiance was great too not being too loud. We had a great time and will certainly revisit.”

“Went for brunch on Sunday without a reservation. Had to wait for about 10-15 Mon for a table for 4 but all worth it. Had smashed avocado and American pancakes, my other half had pulled pork. All was great and looking forward to our next visit. Menu was looking great. Felt bright and modern. Service was polite, quick and efficient.”

“Maltby Market is amazing. Lovely place for a Saturday afternoon! But I was not expecting to find such a great steak! You should definitely try Beefsteaks... the chips were delicious too! Furthermore the staff is extremely welcoming and nice, Antonio was absolutely stunning!”

“I was there yesterday at a lunch party for my uncle and Aunt’s Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The food and the service was really wonderful and a credit to the Haven. The food was beautifully presented and served hot. The room was elegantly decorated for 25 guests seated at a long table. Nothing was too much for the staff, I was so impressed. With everything thank you so much for making it such a special day.”

“I had had a busy day about in Bromley and arrived early from that to a reservation I'd made that day for early dinner (18:15). Prices were properly reasonable for such fine dining. The presentation of each course was spot on, I'd even say en place, buuuuut not my element at this time. The maître d' was professional and courteous. I felt a bit under-dressed but braved through and they brought no attention to this and treated me. At some spirit auguery advice, my royal self reluctantly avoided steak this evening, going instead from chef's suggestion menu, the seared scallops and then sea bass. The scallops were grilled, and tender rather than rubbery as I sometimes 'expect' of scallop. I'd had some grilled halloumi around lunch tiem, and joked that scallops would be right out to pair with halloumi. I think there is this. The sea bass were served seared with skin on, and a sweet tomato salsa, with a potato tower of some kind. Service were quiet and excellent. I did not once feel rushed and I NEEEEED to return for some côte de boeuf or rib-eye some day soon. This should be written. I'll be needing dress better suited. “My favourite curry house in South East London. Friendly service, consistently great food, good portion sizes. We've only eaten in once but takeout is regularly high quality (we drive to collect as it's outside of our delivery zone - proof it's good!).”

“I recently held a wake for my late mother at The Queen’s Head, and I cannot praise the team enough. From start to finish, the staff were incredibly attentive, compassionate, and professional. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly during such an emotional time. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. There was a fantastic variety, and it was all so well received by our guests—it disappeared in no time! “Enjoyed my breakfast here. Four or five other guests were present, so not too busy first thing on a Monday morning. My black coffee was great, although a little expensive if I'm honest. My full English was nicely presented and tasted good. Overall it was very filling. I'd certainly recommend this place if you're passing through the High St area of Tunbridge Wells.”

“I've been a loyal takeaway customer of Band of Burgers, but decided to dine in this time, and I'm glad I did! The food was exceptional. The sweet potato chips were outstanding - perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully soft on the inside, just as they should be. The burger was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor. While the nachos were only okay, the sauces accompanying them were tasty. My only critique is that the portion of minced meat on the nachos was a bit lacking, which affected my overall enjoyment. Nonetheless, I highly recommend Band of Burgers for their amazing food!”

“Service was great as the staff was very attentive and efficient. I think they bring a great atmosphere to the dining experience and the atmosphere there was lovely. Really love the variety of food and snacks available on the menu. They cater from meat to seafood and veggie options. I was really impressed with the cauliflower and leek croquettes, really tasty (this is coming from a person who isn't a fan of cauliflower) and the truffle honey chicken wings were amazing. Slightly disappointed with the falafel as it was a bit too salty. The pork belly was well presented and generous portion size for a main. Slightly chewy. Had a taste of the baby squid, that was delicious and well quicked and also the lamb skewers I recommend.”

“Been here twice with my boyfriend, and looking forward to coming back soon. The facilities are great, the rooms are nice and big and the food at the Ellis restaurant is always outstanding. Since going there again, the supplement charge has risen though, but the quality of the food is fantastic. The spa treatments are also great and very relaxing. Recommend for a getaway!”

“Hidden gem If your anything like me, I tend to type into google ‘hidden gems’ then the area when looking for places to eat. Well this is a hidden gem, probably known to the Bayford community and now me. I drive past the bakers arms twice a day. Each time I do, something else catches my eye and I think to myself, I have to come here. So, today I was driving home from work and thought let me see what the name is. As I carried on home I thought to myself i’m coming back here tonight. Its now or never. I got home, got changed and grabbed my partner and left for the Bakers Arms. I had not googled this place or looked it up online, i just knew the name and location. All I can say is wow! As soon as we walked i we where greed so kindly by Martin and walked around to the dining room. The dining room was cosy, very well presented and clean. We both had the lasagne and it was amazing. The flavours burst in your mouth and where lasting, even the chips we ordered on the side where perfectly crisp. Both my partner and I rate our food out of 10 at home and in restaurants I can say i have never got past a 7.5. Today was the the first time I have ever heard him say a meal is a 10 and then change it to an 11. From hospitality, location and food, the Bakers Arms is a must visit. It should be in the class of a hidden gem. Im glad i followed my instincts today and got experience their venue. Thank you to both Martin and Bev for being a great host and providing impeccable food. My Partner is still talking about the lasagne now so thank you for making a lasting impression on him. We look forward to visiting again very soon. All the best Georgina and Charlie”
