“My wife and I loved our Sunday night stay at the Mitre Hotel. What did we like? Wonderful situation on the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary and generous glass of wine on arrival. Large, comfortable and quiet room - we were upgraded to The Royal Mews (many thanks for that) - with complimentary coffee, biscuits etc. Excellent breakfast buffet taken in the lovely round room with wonderful views of the Thames. Settle in Sunday is a really great deal. Would we stay at The Mitre again? Like a shot!”

“First time at this particular PI and the difference between here and the one up the road (London Twickenham Stadium) are poles apart. There is parking but we turned up around 21:00 and I was lucky to find a spot; the car park does serve the Beefeater next door. The front door is automatic which is handy when you have a lot of bags but the inner doors are manual. We were greeted by a friendly, very helpful and enthusiastic member of staff. Our room was on the first floor (no lift) at the front of the building and although there was a busy main road and a bus stop outside it wasn’t that noisy. The room and bathroom seem bigger and as usual the bed is very comfortable. The wardrobe/ shelving unit is lovely and big, easily fits 4 days of our clothes and four big shelves for all your other bits. In this PI the rooms have A/C and having bus stops outside is an added bonus. Only negative is that the toilets don’t flush very well.”

Also, Andreina at the front desk was absolutely fantastic in helping us ensure that we had everything we needed for our stay. She was very accommodating and understanding of our travel requirements. “I arrived early to get changed for a wedding and your systems were down but Sarah sorted everything out for me, got me into a room to be able to get changed. She was so helpful. In the morning Claire was on duty and the breakfast was really busy, she sorted me out and was so friendly and helpful. A great experience.”

“We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst in London for my son's wedding reception at the nearby Hampton Court Palace Golf Club. The rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable. There are 50" TV's in both the living area and the master bedroom although the single bedroom lacks a TV. There is a hair dryer and an Iron and the kitchen is fully equipped. Al in all we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and I would thoroughly recommend these suites to others.”

“I've just checked out this morning and have to say the overall experience I had during my one night stay was very good. Much better than I had expected having read the recent reviews. Even taking into consideration the budget price, the room was a good size, clean, the bed was comfortable. The dinner and breakfast, though not as good as Premier Inn's, were adequate for the price and the staff on reception and in the dining area were polite and attentive. Not much to improve on in all honesty. Thank you.”

“Stayed here with trepidation given the mixed reviews but can honestly say I enjoyed my stay. For a very low price you get a decent sized room (much bigger than many I’ve stayed in in central London), a hot shower and clean facilities, comfortable beds, 24/7 front desk, bar and restaurant on site, convenient location for nearby sites (Hampton Court Palace, Richmond Park, Ham House, Wimbledon), helpful and friendly staff and the option to pay a small fee for car parking, a good breakfast or early check-in/late check-out. We even had a nice view overlooking the church next door. Yes, the room was warm but NOT unbearably so. Criticisms about lack of aircon aren’t exactly fair. It isn’t common to find aircon in London hotel rooms and you get what YOU pay for!”

“Myself and wife stayed at the Westleigh for 2 nights. The hosts David and Jane were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the room with Super King bed which was very comfortable, with a modern bathroom overlooking there beautiful garden. Breakfast was excellent. Nice lounge if you wanted to sit and read or look at the garden.”

“Had a great stay at Teddington Lodge! I was there for a week and this was the perfect accommodation. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen area was great to use and equipped with all the supplies necessary to make small meals. The inclusion of a free laundry room on each floor was helpful. The lodge is within walking distance to a number of grocery stores, shopping stores, and restaurants. Hampton Court Palace is also in walking distance through Bushy Park. And if you are trying to go into London, the Teddington train station is nearby with service into the city centre. A great stay, thank you!”

“This restaurant offers a pleasant take on modern Italian food. The service was fast and friendly and the food good. I tried a starter and pizza. My bruschetta starter was nice, but the tomatoes were a bit bland for bruschetta (that might be a seasonal problem). The pizza was flavourful with a good texture. The La burrata pizza what well balanced with the creamy mozzarella ball complementing them salty meat and fresh tasting rocket. Overall, this is the second time we’ve been back and both times we’re good. I’d recommend Unico28 if you’re looking for a good alternative to the other Italian restaurants in the area,”

“A very nice children playground. There are plenty of activities for children. Children can bring a ball to play with or a scoop to play in the sand. Every family can enter for around 70-90 minutes. And can return for another timeslot, with an hour between play sessions. There's a toilet and also a tap water to drink there.”

“We stayed in the Katherine of Aragon room. It was fantastic. The room was well equipped and VERY clean. We love the area. Easy walk to great restaurants and our favorite wine bar, Vineking. Short walk to a train station for easy access into central London. Would highly recommend. Oh one last thing, the new Lion Gate Cafe across the street is great for breakfast or lunch.”
