“We went to support the money raising event for Matt. The venue is great for live music and has a wide variety of drinks including their own beers. More variety of non alcoholic beers would be great. They have a simple menu which is great. Unfortunately the hotdogs we had were very dry and plain but still value for money. Somewhere we would go again”

“I stayed here for one night only. Imagine that the place is a hotel for 200 years, but the building was built in the 15th century!! The rooms are cosy , combining the old and modern. Quiet place only disturbed by the noise of the cars passing on the bridge built over the river that lays in front of the hotel. There is hat and cold breakfast included, which is quite unique. Will surely come back one day.”

“Very warm welcome at this charming house. Bed and Breakfast is a bit misleading. Breakfast was a couple of biscuits and tea or coffee in the room. No problem for us - we never have breakfast! Lovely comfortable bed and perfectly situated for Heathrow terminal 5 (7mins in the car). Paul, can I recommend that you leave the fridge door open when not in use? It didn't smell too nice from being closed! Really enjoyed playing your piano! Keep practicing! We'll definitely use your establishment again!”

“Lovely community space. I have a local book club and they allowed us to do our meet-up there. The staff is lovely and very welcoming as well. All our members loved the place and will repeat. They had an option of vegan and gluten-free cake and dairy free milk which was a bonus. Haven’t tried the food but may do soon.”

“Booked the hall for my son's birthday party and it was fab. Great setup and really easy to use their kitchen to do the food ( there was the option for them to do it as well) Staff member really helpful and no issues at all. They even managed to find one of the guests lost toy the next day Thanks for a great time”

The spicy prawns were a standout—perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of heat. “Absolutely fantastic little restaurant that offers fantastic food, a friendly, welcoming staff and a great atmosphere. Honestly the best breakfast I've ever had and I find it almost impossible to walk past without giving in to temptation and dropping in any time I'm local. The staff really do make it worthwhile - friendly, smiley, cheerful and make any meal a pleasure. The food is great tasting and incredibly good value for money. Highly, highly recommended. I just hope it doesn't become TOO popular so I can't get in anymore! :D”

“Good have mostly everything what we need for daily use”

“Stayed 1 night following an in house party. We had asked for a twin room and were assured our allocated room was a twin. It wasn't but as we were only staying 1 night didn't want to make a fuss. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is modern, well decorated and modern. The rooms are well appointed with hair dryer and safe available. Breakfast was lovely with variations to the menu no trouble at all. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Had a craving for some chips and went to the right place here. Pleasant chap serving and the chips were without fault. Good quality potatoes and cooked spot on. Ignore the one star review 5 months ago. I have never been to a chippy where the price of cod on the board includes the chips!.”

“I live local and have used the shop many times every single time I go there all staff are pleasant , friendly and polite absolutely head and shoulders above the usual misers you meet In Local shops there is a real community spirit feel in Shaunz stores, always greeted with friendly hello and a smile even my 2 sons are not ignored a credit to shopkeepers every and setting the bar as to how a shop should be run I think the last negative reviewer probably misread the pricing labels on coke. My 8 year old is always excited to see what the shop sign is displaying such as Christmas and Easter, he always knows when we are near home as we pass this wonderfully local shop”

“Tom the manager was incredibly helpful. Told me about a promotion they had on where you get a free hot drink when you buy anything in store. Was also mega helpful when I was getting flustered with the self service tills however he was extremely helpful and kind. Also the shop is well stocked tidy and from the few experiences I have had going there staff have been polite professional. The customer service is second to non.”
