“I have been a member of White Oak for over 3 years now and do not plan on changing gym. I mainly go to the morning classes and we have very good experienced instructors in Yoga, kettlebell, Pilates, Zumba, circuit. The centre as a whole is very good although needs more cleaners and maintenance . I cannot comment on the cafe because I do not use it but it's always busy. The staff are lovely especially the ladies at the reception, Scarlet and Demi being some of my favourite. If you want value for money, this centre is probably the best around.”

“Giving 5 stars due to the professionalism of the staff - would like to especially mention Julie and Zain who have been exceptional in supporting at the front-desk and in the gym respectively. Give em a raise (no they didn't bribe me ;) ). Management needs to look into the issue of overcrowding in the gym due to unchecked new signups recently. I have had to avoid going in on certain days of the week due to the same which has affected my otherwise good workout regime. Many other regulars have echoed the same concern. Also, the swimming pool cleaning quality has gone down too recently - needs to be immediately sorted out. Thanks.”

“My children have swimming lessons with Aqua Style....and.....love it. The instructors are very professional... the lessons are fun....when you reach a certain level the lessons increase to 1hour..... Pool and changing area are clean and well kept.”

“Mikael and yulia are very enthusiastic and positive every day. Both run really good classes and are always around to help with technique or equipment! Highly recommend this gym, things are constantly improving - equipment is being changed, new equipment, new spin bikes. I know some reviews are harsh but it is the best gym in the area. Highly recommend”

“Great swimming facilities if caught at the right time of day. Easy access to a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. The price is good if you're willing to pay for three months membership. The only shorter option is a session pass which cost me more than I was happy to spend. Next time I think I'll hit the gym too!”

“I moved to Virgin Active Repton Park in January after spending 5 years at Nuffield Health, and the difference has been a complete revelation. Nuffield raised prices twice in a year, removed key facilities like the jacuzzi without offering any discount, and the overall atmosphere — especially with some PTs — felt disrespectful and unfair. That experience pushed me to leave. Virgin Active has been the opposite in every way. From the gated community car park where you know your car is safe, to the friendly and welcoming reception team who greet you with a smile and provide fresh towels on every visit, the hospitality here is on another level. The locker rooms are a bit outdated and could use a modern refresh, but they’re always clean. The gym floor is great, though I do wish it had a bit more space and additional machines — especially a dedicated bicep machine. The real highlight of this club is the spa area. The sauna and steam room were recently renovated and are consistently in perfect working condition. The jacuzzi is incredibly relaxing, and the swimming pool is huge. As someone who’s been bodybuilding for over 10 years, having high-quality recovery facilities makes a massive difference. The architecture of the building is beautiful — transforming an old church into a gym gives the whole place a unique, almost royal feel. Overall, Virgin Active Repton Park delivers exceptional value, atmosphere, and service. Easily one of the best fitness clubs I’ve ever been a part of.”

“Can’t speak highly enough about Zambezi- my son attends the holiday schools and swimming lessons and has today had a swimming birthday party. The party was Brilliant, my son had the best time and so did his friends. It was amazingly organised, Gary is great with the kids and remembers all of their names and goes out of his way to make sure the party is such good fun. Thank you so much to Gary and the team!”

“Nice sports centre. The sports hall is in the basement, and the water foundation is in the gym on the 1st floor. Walls of the sports hall are mostly grey, with one side with white bits and windows and a bit hard to see the shuttle. The ceiling is white as well.”

“Have been attending Aqua Aerobics with the lovely Linda and it's always fun and a great workout. Linda's a fantastic instructor and knows the names of all the people who attend her classes and all new people to the classes are made to feel really welcome . Would highly recommend Linda's classes. The lovely staff on reception are always friendly and helpful and helped me sort out an issue with my monthly pass.”

“Friendly and very helpful staff I left my £1 for the locker in car and she let me leave and item of value behind the counter for the £1. Simple and rare these days. Nice pool, good temperature, clean and no one wearing shoes in the changing rooms. Unlike every “Better” pool we’ve been to.”

“This is a PUBLIC PLACE! To have the amount of people they have coming through there each day and be able to maintain it to the ability they’re able to is very surprising! It is an extremely popular place and you have to take into consideration the social environment it’s in! I have moved over from David Lloyd and although it’s no David Lloyd (David Lloyd is the heaven of members club) it certainly does the trick! People on here complaining about skinny teenage boys in the gym… we have to start somewhere! I appreciate Everyone Active for helping me and adapting to my needs due to my epilepsy, Sometimes the staff are a bit on edge because they deal with lots of people every day be patient with them. They are good people just under a lot of stress so please remember that! (However I do believe they could Invest in some more professional cleaners) Thankyou!”

“Have been coming here for a swim for quite a some time and always been met with welcoming staff and friendly atmosphere. Centre itself could do with refreshing some facilities, but nothing too major to dislike. My only issue is occasional stench smell of sewage in swimming pool, but that was only a few occasions so far. Pool temperature is adequate, overall cleanliness is good for how many people pass through on daily basis. Will see what changes the new owner will bring, but have visited some of theirs leisure centres, hoping for good ones. Overall 5*”

All of the instructors (especially Kurt and Ash) are incredibly friendly, supportive, and motivating. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome from day one. The changing rooms are spotless, and the pool and sauna are great for recovery.
