The shop is stylish and welcoming, and our barber was a true professional. They were fantastic with my son and listened to exactly what we both wanted, delivering two great haircuts. So thinking we’d have a look about which we did only for the staff to recognise us (from 2 years previously) and be aware of what we had purchased and where we were from.. absolutely outstanding service, the owner should be very very happy with his staff. Despite my lack of experience in having waxed, Isabel made me feel extremely comfortable and made always checked to see if there were any stray hairs. I was her last client of the day and even though I could tell she was a little tired as it had been busy, she still put the effort into making me feel comfortable (well as comfortable as you can getting a wax!). “Since coming to get my acrylics done at La Fresh Nails I genuinely cannot go anywhere else - Isharna is friendly, efficient and professional and going in for an appointment always feels like catching up with an old friend. Most importantly, her work is absolutely gorgeous! She takes time to ensure the nails are carefully prepared with minimal damage and works on the length, shape and design to match my exact requests (no matter how specific)! I absolutely love this cute salon and cannot recommend it enough! :)”

The food was very tasty, and the service was good. The menu was extensive, which made it a bit challenging to choose, so we had to ask for recommendations. “Lovely little village pub on outskirts of Epping Forest. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, Good food, we had two ploughman’s with cheddar, blue cheese and ham which were nice and fresh, two pints of Moretti all for £37 which we thought very reasonable. Good parking, plenty outside seating.”

Both the hairdressers are bloomin’ great, and I had such a great chat with Steph yesterday who is absolutely lovely. “I can’t recommend Dr. Disha enough. She is fantastic, an excellent listener, incredibly knowledgeable, and very open. She has helped me regain balance from perimenopause symptoms, including terrible brain fog, among other things. If you’re a woman struggling with menopause or perimenopause symptoms and can’t or don’t want to go the HRT route, this is a wonderful alternative. I highly recommend her”

“A hidden gem! Had a lovely visit over the weekend, friendly staff, lots of places to sit and have some food or rest by the lake. Honestly it's more of a zoo than a farm with lots of exotic animals. Just to note there is no parking directly on the farm premises unless you hold a blue badge but not really an issue plenty of spaces on roads or if you are lucky within cassiobury park car park.”

“This place surely isn't the biggest or most privately contained cafe in a hospital, but that really is the beauty of it. Run by volunteers, these people were wonderful to talk to, and not only to see them with the choice to dedicate this time, but simply considering how long some have lived for (e.g. age 92), and how good their health is. Onto the actual cafe! The price of food here from sandwiches to cafe drinks is the type of reasonable I am expecting and am so happy to see, when comparing to such, including the Costa in the hospital. In my opinion that includes the range of cakes, biscuits and bars too! Having my [veg] sandwhich toasted made it extra fulfilling, and the cappuccino was super! And it gets better: All profits made, go to a certain division of the hospital. More people should visit this cafe to appreciate the efforts devoted by volunteers here. Hospitals should have more affordable, lovingly run cafe's like this! Obviously that doesn't even have to be as a patient!”

“This was mine and my girlfriend’s local pub as of two months ago due to us moving and we miss it so much. We went almost every Sunday for their delicious roasts, which we still think is the best in London. Extremely reasonably priced drinks and lovely staff. We will be back soon”

“I recently attended and saw Sarra Mohamed for a teeth clean. It had been a few years since I had been for a clean and always get worried when the day arrives. Sarra and her assistant were very polite, friendly and welcoming. Going to the dentist is always an anxious experience, as I’m sure it is for most. Sarra was exceptional in the way she worked. It was efficient and top quality. Due to me not attending for some time, I had plaque build-up walking in, but walked out looking bright, white and sparkling. Sarra was very informative, gave great advice (mouth wash before and don’t rinse after brushing) about things I didn’t know before. Her session was quick, informative but also just a lovely experience all around. I would highly recommend the clinic, but Sarra in particular, for her professionalism and attention to detail.
