“New Malden is truly a haven for Korean food lovers!Wandering into this unassuming restaurant turned out to be a delightful surprise. Spicy Stir-fried Squid and Pork The squid was wonderfully springy, and the accompanying vegetables were full of flavor. But the real star was the pork — fully marinated and flavoured, packed with heat, and incredibly fragrant. A perfect balance of spicy and savory! Kimchi Pork Tofu Stew Classic dishes are always the best test of a kitchen’s skill, and this one passed with flying colors. The stew arrived bubbling hot, with a strong, appetizing aroma of fermented kimchi. Just one spoonful of the tangy, spicy broth was enough to awaken the appetite. The tofu was soft, silky, and generously portioned — a hearty and comforting dish that really satisfies. Side Dishes The complimentary kimchi was crisp and flavorful — exactly as it should be. The bean sprouts, though a bit mild in taste, would’ve been perfect with a touch of sesame oil for added depth. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Went with my flatmates 2 weeks ago and had a delicious lunch. From pajeon to japchae to samgyupsal: all was great. I read a lot of reviews of Korean restaurants in New Malden and Azit had the best reviews for service: I can attest they're real. I had a small accident when one of the guys dropped the crab in the spicy sauce and it splashed into my right eye. The waitress was amazing then as well (she was very attentive all the time) and she even brought me an ice pack after I managed to get out of the restroom. She really made this experience a lot more pleasant considering Korean food should not be tasted with the eyes.”

“You have got to try the Singapore Rice Noodles, they are out of this world! Me and the staff have become friends at this point. They were very nice and the atmosphere was decent with the large fish tank with cute fish swimming peacefully. 5 Stars!”

“I was a little skeptical to visit after reading reviews but a Korean friend recommended this restaurant to me so I decided to go with my friend and my daughter for lunch. So glad we went! Lovely service from the young man working Weds afternoon. Food was delicious, portions very generous! When I asked for a small spoon for my daughter the waiter bought over a kids cutlery set, very much appreciated. We ordered two bento boxes and an udon set with sushi, we were so full! We requested a takeaway box for our leftovers and this was given to us with no problems. Really happy to recommend KJ and looking forward to coming back again soon.”

“I get food delivered from many different places. With many of them, the food quality will go up and down. Some restaurants, over time, seem to get lazy, and it's not even that unexpected when the food quality suffers. That's why restaurants like Spice Express are like gold dust. You can rely on the same great tasting food time and time again. I recommend trying one of their chef's specials. You won't be disappointed.”

“I ordered through 'just eat' last night. Being alone I appreciated the £14 minimum order for free delivery as opposed to the usual £20. One of the owners delivered as opposed to a faceless kid in a crash helmet. The food was perfect. Fresh and clean.This chef knows what he is doing. The Biryani was as good as any I have had in India. Move over Fleet Tandoori, you were number one in Gospel Oak and took it for granted. There is a new kid on the block and they are GOOD.”

“We had a great experience here. The chicken is absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy and full of flavour. The sauces are amazing, especially the honey garlic and the spicy one. The beer is served in a frozen glass, which makes all the difference and tastes incredible. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, adding to the lovely atmosphere. The place is also very clean and well looked after. Highly recommend if you are in the area and want really good chicken”

“We visited Sofreh in Chessington as a family and were blown away by the experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming the staff truly looked after us throughout the evening. The food was exceptional fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavour. I ordered the momtaz, which came with both koobideh and chicken joojeh served with naan absolutely delicious. My daughter chose the joojijeh with rice, and she loved every bite. We rounded off our meal with some beautifully fragrant Iranian tea, which was the perfect end to a fantastic dining experience. If you’re looking for authentic Persian food with excellent service, Sofreh is a gem worth visiting. We’ll definitely be coming back!”
