“We were lucky to walk past early in the evening on a Wednesday and to get a big round table for three - fantastic service from start to end. Really friendly, helpful and efficient. The advice to get 2-3 plates per person and to share was very good. Mimi was our main waiter we ordered • Tirshyat - home made pink pickles • Tareh Kurdi - butter beans stew with green herbs • Cauliflower • Xayar u mast - yogurt, cucumber herbs... • Aubergine platter • Cholera - braised chicken hearts • Qibuli rash - biriani with chicken • Beharat fries (the one thing I would not order again We've been wanting to eat here for ages, and so pleased to have finally made it. The bill came to just under £80 including 2 beers, a sparkling water, and 12.5% service As we left Baban came out of the kitchen and talked to us on the street asking how everything was. A really special and personal touch. We'll be back!”

“If you were looking for a formal French restaurant with non-arrogant service, this was definitely the best choice. All service staff were friendly and positive. They also seemed very professional in providing wine and food recommendations. The environment was perfect. The oysters and sweet shrimps were handled very cleanly. Foie gras and duck were served as an appetizer and were very unique when paired with sauce. The raw beef was cut very thinly and presented beautifully. The two main dishes, beef and fish, felt a bit fusion and were a little bit less tender for me. Overall, it was a restaurant worth visiting.”

I’m so happy I found this gem. We went for lunch on a Friday and had some Santorini wine to go with the hummus. The restaurant felt comfortable and I enjoyed the large window at the front. As we were talking away, eating out hummus. We ordered the Greek salad and musaka. Both the bright salad and musaka were excellent. I feel like I took a trip to Mykonos for my Friday afternoon. We also got to try the spicy feta and eggplant dip, which is really recommend. The server was really lovely and he made our experience 10/10. I would definitely be back.”

“The most welcoming people. Wonderful generous value for money, smart décor and a wide choice of dishes. Only came in for a classic all day breakfast. This is SET 3 of a choice of six! I asked for the beans (worth little) to be replaced by mushrooms (pricey) and they didn't charge me any extra! The coffee was frothy and potent, and adding two more bits of hot proper buttered toast was just a quid more! So £7.95 and a real treat. From steak to seafood and sandwiches, omelettes and wicked fruity pie deserts! Parking is mostly easy on this brilliant little parade and I will be baaaack!!”
