“If you are looking for a no frills room that is in a superb location, this hotel is for you. I only stayed one night for business. When I checked in I was feeling terrible and I arrived early. Check in wasn't for another hour, I was going to cancel my room and book at another Marriott since I have status and usually can check in early. The young lady working at the front desk was super helpful and saw that I wasn't feeling well, I didn't catch her name I wish I had because she sprung into action. She told me to have a seat and she was going to see what she could do to help. She was so kind and empathetic and was able to get me into a room quickly so I could rest. I appreciated that gesture beyond belief! The room was clean, no frills, just a bed, small bathroom and necessities. If you've ever stayed on a cruise ship, the rooms are exactly that of a cruise ship. The location is across the street from Victoria train and underground station with food and transportation. Even though it was only for one night, it was a wonderful experience with Marriott hospitality that makes me continue to be a loyal customer.”

“I have dined here several times and each time they never fail to amaze me. I introduced my Spanish friend to Somali food yesterday and she loved it. She has an open mind and excited to try foods from different cultures and loved her experience. I over-ate as usual lol because the food is absolutely delicious especially the green chilli sauce which I love, hot but tasty. Huge man size portions and very reasonably priced especially as I tend to order lamb. Thank you for your amazing food and wonderful service.”

“Was planning on going to the popular cafe next door but the line was over 2 hours and so we decided to to give this place a go as the food looked good and it was busy but no queue. Very happy that we did as it was a lovely breakfast. The full English had everything you could want and was fresh. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was lovely too. Amazing bubble and squeak. Don’t bother waiting in the queue for next door. Come here!”

“This hotel is in East London, so if you're not well acquainted with London, you could still stay here if you're open to using London Underground for travel (which would almost always be faster than Uber. I only used Uber except for going back to LHR & it was a mistake not to use the Tube, in retrospect) to central London. Since there are political/activist rallies on many Saturdays, you may not want to stay in central London (or at least, not for all your nights in London). I've had bad experiences on two separate occasions (traffic may get re-routed & you may have to walk for miles & miles). You might not wanna make the mistake of arriving at the hotel in an Uber from LHR if you have few bags, because a direct Tube line to/from LHR is a couple of minutes away from the hotel (Google Maps shows a 4 minute walk, but it's actually even less!). The hotel is right next to Westfield, one of the largest urban malls in Europe. Last week, I was upgraded to a 1 BR suite owing to my Explorist status (technically, Explorists are not eligible for suite upgrades, but Hyatt House only has suites, so a studio -> 1 BR suite upgrades is possible for Explorists. YMMV). The hotel staff is quite helpful. Carlos from the front-desk called me when my suite became ready for check-in. My bags were secutely held & transferred to my suite when it became available. The decor of the suite was quite good. Breakfast spread was better than I had imagined. Vegan croissants were also available. The hotel's guest-operated laundry facility is also quite good. As of now, you need not hassle yourself with getting coins just for laundry, because it's free for guests. Definitely the best Hyatt House property I've ever stayed at.”

“A lovely restaurant with even lovelier food and staff! The manager and waiters were all friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. We got the Goats Cheese with salad as a starter which was delicious, for our mains we got the Baraka Special and the Yogortlu Kofte which were both flavourful and perfectly cooked, and finished with a Baklava for dessert. The atmosphere was great - the perfect place for a business lunch or a quiet date. Looking forward to my next visit!”

“Amazing Hotel, stayed one night. Great service, from the start to end. Dinner venues very Cousy, with outstanding service. Room very clean and comfortable bed, love the fairy showers, smoothing and soft. Breakfast deal it’s amazing, a little morning buffet where we can find a bit all you can eat. There is a water dispenser outside where we can fill our bottles, great idea. Silence and sleeping night for middle of Bankside location. Also great tourism attraction within one mile from it, Tate, Shakespeare Theatre, Borough market, George Inn the oldest gallery inn the world. And more…”

“Excellent hotel. Not far from restaurants. The staff were very kind and helpful. Nothing too much trouble for them. There are a few steps up to the hotel. I have a mobility scooter, to bring indoors. There was an accessible lift round the back and was helped in and out of the hotel. The restaurant food was wow good. Plenty of choice for breakfast and good quality.”

“It is customary to post, post departure but I must give credit to all staff and venue. The amenities are good and staff well attentive. The Xmas theme and little treats are more than welcoming and a pleasant surprise. The service and food are amazing. This was a great idea and thank you to the entire team. “Great location, close to the Tube and Asda. The room is just as good as other Premier Inns: nice, clean, and tidy. The breakfast really surprised me. The scrambled eggs were smooth, and the sausage and bacon were fried to a nice, fragrant finish. They also refilled the hot food quickly. Jose, you did a great job with the hot breakfast. I look forward to staying here again and enjoying it on my next trip to London.”

“From the check in with a lovely lady called Jamila putting herself out to help especially as i have some disabilities , to all of the Amazing staff , the great room and all food provided including eating in the Bugis Kitchen, we experienced a most wonderful stay at The Copthorne Tara Hotel. Their was an added bonus of it being only just over a 20 min walk to The Royal Albert Hall, i really wished that i had found this hotel years ago. I would highly recommend and cannot wait to return. I also thought that all round they were very reasonable with their prices considering their location......”

“Recently stayed here for its fantastic location near to the station and all amenities, staff were extremely helpful and considerate going above and beyond. It’s cheap and cheerful and very clean as you would expect. When I couldn’t figure out how to work the elevator key one kind lady offered to come up with me to demonstrate. Others were also very approachable and more than happy to offer assistance. It’s so rare to find kind and responsive team members these days, they really made my stay and made us feel so welcome. Thank you to all the staff at Kingston Travelodge, it was truly a pleasure!”

“Absolutely a great Hotel with a great location in London. You are a few meters away from Victoria Station and this means that you are near everything that matters in London. Room are a small but cleaned every days. Bathroom was perfect. The only downside was the heat: no air conditioning and only a 'basic' floor fan that was practically useless. I suggest it for a quick trip with family or friends.”

“I really like the cafe in the morning, they serve a good coffee and always fresh pastries/croissant etc. Plenty of other things such as sausages etc are available. Clean space with friendly staff. Plenty of seatings around. Good and accessible WCs. Free water fill machine.”

“I’ve been to many restaurants, those which include restaurants that have multiple Michelin stars. I am super critical with reviews, but I never thought it would come to the day I would say this.. but this food “is food that brings you back home… back home to your mother”. That’s so rare in this day and age and think how much of an expert someone has to be to create that with Thai food for someone coming from Sri Lankan origin. Every ingredient is fresh, the blend of spices, the quality of meat and the food expertly made brings a dish which is truly homemade and delicious. I have never experienced anything that tastes truly homemade from a restaurant outside the home. I feel great after eating this too compared to other takeaways as it’s so natural. This is hands down the best restaurant in St Albans. Kat and her partner are such a superb couple running this restaurant, they are incredibly kind and accommodated to a special birthday request. They both came out and greeted us, which was super kind of them and proved many things but the biggest.. this is homemade food, food made from the heart. You want to try true Thai food.. don’t bother with the £800 flight, come here - to this very place a drive away in a lovely home situated in St Albans and you will experience it first hand.
