The assistant helped find the right necklace too. The clothes are a pleasure to wear and don’t fall apart after the first wearing. They certainly tell the story of our lives that’s for sure. I was not even sure I was going to buy anything , I went for a browse. I ended up buying two gifts for my friends. I was assisted by a lady called Val. Val was simply WONDERFUL . She knows the products and the company so well and delivers her knowledge with evident skill and care. It was like being in a museum, where the products were magical artefacts. “We had a very memorable dinner at Carlo’s Trattoria ! Despite booking a table for 22 of us at very short notice , Bonnie and Jay went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing dinner for my family gathering. The service was attentive and impeccable throughout the whole evening and the food truly delicious with very generous portions. We all had the fixed menu with a selection of starters ( the fried calamari are the best I have eaten in a very long time - even my Sicilian auntie thought they were tastier than the ones in Sicily ) followed by the prawns risotto and fresh ravioli with porcini mushroom and sage which were both heavenly! We ended the dinner with an amazing selection of desserts, all beautifully presented. I live in London but I will definitely drive back to Guildford just to eat at Carlo’s again!. “This place never fails to deliver quality at all levels. Their food is stunning and very very reasonably priced. The sharing taco platter with two drinks was £30 and was plenty enough for 2 people. The service was rapid and attentive but not overbearing. The whole place is really vibrant and well decorated. This is by far my favourite place in Guildford.”

“Great Indian curry house in Guildford. They serve excellent Sunday Buffet with good choices to choose from. Samosa and onion bhaji were an excellent choice from their starter options. Madras chicken curry and lamp curry with Naan were my favourites. They do also have vegetarian options and serve basmati rice. Overall an excellent choice for a family dine out for any memorable occasion.”

I appreciate the quality of their ready meals and fresh produce, perfect for grabbing a quick, decent dinner. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, even during busy periods. While it's a smaller selection, they manage to pack in a good variety of Waitrose essentials. It's ideal for those last-minute bits, or when you need to top up on quality groceries without a full supermarket trip. The addition of the coffee machine is a nice touch too, for a quick pick me up. Overall a good experiance for a petrol station based shop.”

“I stayed last night for a business trip. Considering this was one of the more affordable hotels, I was impressed by The Mandolay. Great rooms. Attentive staff and great bar / dining area. Only small critique was the showers aren't the largest, but no issues whilst I was there.”
