“The food here is exceptionally good, in particular the sushi is very fresh and delicious. The food arrives very promptly and is some of the best that I have had. I would recommend getting all of the desserts if you have room for it also. The vegetarian options are quite extensive and you do not feel as though you have a small selection, even on the sushi.”

“Recommended. Cold, rainy night, we were looking for a warm setting and good food. Mediterranean cuisine a plus. Pub food didn't interest us. The menu suggested a lentil soup, my bride's go-to comfort food. We decided to give it a try. The hour was early, we were seated promptly, and served up with some fresh bread and hummus. WARNING: The fresh bread is dangerous. I wanted to make a meal of it. The red lentil soup was a hit - hearty, satisfying. I had a grilled chicken fillet with basmati rice - delicious. We ordered wine with the meal, we enjoy a nice Pinot Noir. Closest they had was a Merlot and a Turkish red wine. Turkey makes wine? Decided to give it a try. I offered my bride a sip of the Kavaklidere Yakut Red. Smooth, low tanins, very satisfying. She liberated my Yakut, I drank her Merlot. Both were good. Very happy with the experience - would visit again.”

“My company, SilverDoor, hired The Union to cater our 170+ guest event and I cannot fault the service we received. The team were incredibly responsive, supportive and knowledgeable in the planning process, and went above and beyond supporting us during the event itself. We ordered a range of sandwiches, wraps and baguettes, salads, quiches and desserts, all of which were delicious and prepared perfectly. The allergens were clearly stated and confirmed with us beforehand, and the food was presented beautifully. All our guests were blown away by the food! We also ordered tea and coffee, and The Union provided crockery, cutlery, and all additional things we needed without us even having to ask. The support they provided in the set up and pack down of the catering was a critical part of the success of our event – we really couldn’t have asked for a better event catering service. Clare, Anna, and Jani were amazingly helpful on the day, and I cannot recommend the team enough for events catering. Thank you!”

“This is hands down the best Indian food I've ever tried. I shall clarify that I'm not indian but I've been to many Indian restaurants. Even my Indian friend qualified it as one of the best, if not the best. We tried the gobi manchurian, chicken masala, and the star dish: the biryani (both lamb and chicken). It was delicious; good spice level and cooked on point. Waiter was very nice and price-wise it was very good. We had a bunch of food for less than 20£. You can't go wrong with this place and it goes right to my list of favorites.”

The food was outstanding – the scotch eggs were perfection: crisp and golden on the outside, with a beautifully soft centre, and seasoned just right. The chips were the kind you always hope for in a pub but rarely find – hot, perfectly cooked, fluffy inside and wonderfully crunchy on the outside. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and done with care. What really elevated our visit, though, was the service. Our waitress, Alice, went above and beyond to make sure everything was spot on. She was warm, attentive, and genuine – always checking in at the right moments without ever being intrusive. She made us feel completely welcome and added such a personal touch to the whole evening. It’s rare these days to find a pub that gets everything right – great food, great atmosphere, and truly exceptional service – but The Rose absolutely nailed it. We’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be recommending it to friends and family without hesitation.”

“think this is one of the best Costa Coffee outlets in the Havering area of outer London. It is run with super efficiently and a lot of care is taken to meet any special requests such as extra hot etc etc I do not know how long the young lady whose name i understand is Valentina has been at Costa but she certainly seems to be very experienced.She stays calm and organised even when it is very busy. I like to give praise where praise is deserved and she certainly deserves it. She has the perfect manner for dealing with the public and makes the minimum fuss about it. A credit to Costa ! Her colleagues are very good too and no doubt are recipients of good advice from Valentina. Thank you Paul”

“A great place in John Lewis at Bluewater to sit down and enjoy a sandwich (hot or cold), soup, salad and coffee during busy times. Great selection of pastries available as well. Coffee is good as well. Prices may be on the higher side but you get a seat compared to pret or any other cafe at busy times.”
