“Coming from Alberta, Canada, mourning the passing of my father this last February, I found solace and peace walking through both the East and West Cemeteries at Highgate. The atmosphere was serene and reflective—exactly what I needed during such a difficult time. After my walk, I stopped at the Colonnade Café, where I was warmly greeted and served what might honestly be the best latte I’ve ever had. The batista's warmth and excellent service, plus the roaming fox family, added to the whole experience that will leave a lasting impression. Thank you! “A Perfect Sunday Surprise! We dropped into Dawat on a Sunday night without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming — attentive without being intrusive. The food was absolutely excellent — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, there was a fantastic live band playing, which gave the evening an extra spark. Between the great food, friendly service, and the bonus live music, it turned into one of those spontaneous nights you don’t forget. A great end to our Diwali celebrations! Highly recommend!”

“Really lovely, friendly little café that has the distinction of serving a selection of excellent loose-leaf teas - this is unusual nowadays, with so many places focusing on serving coffee rather than tea. The sandwiches are very good too. It's tucked away in a pretty, quiet street with rows of18th century houses, a few minutes away from the touristy bustle of central Greenwich. “What a lovely place. From first booking our afternoon tea to arriving, Kelly was great. Our groups food intolerances were catered for extremely well & everyone enjoyed a delicious & plentiful afternoon tea. We had lovely fresh sandwiches, warm soft scones, not dry or crumbly & a large variety of delicious cakes all served in authentic crockery, a nice touch. Even our dog was welcomed just as much as we were. We had to take our leftovers home as we couldn't finish all of the delicious cakes, a welcomed treat later on. Thank you to Kelly & Eastbrookend tea rooms for a lovely afternoon tea. We'll be back & would recommend!”
