“Fantastic restaurant, very professional and can thoroughly recommend”

“We visited here on a Saturday around 3pm for a celebration dinner. We booked in advance for inside seating. There is outside seating which is perfect on a sunny date as right next to the river. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with their recommendations for food and drinks. We all opted for three courses, they do have weekend set Menus which is worth a look. All the meals arrived in perfect timing, they gave enough time between each meal so it wasn’t rushed. Everything was cooked beautifully and a really enjoyable meal. We will definitely be visiting again!”

“They have just reopened after a refurb and the atmosphere service and food are like a warm blanket of love! Just what the world needs at the moment, spaces you feel taken care off in. The beef was perfect and a great wine list too! Can’t wait to come back.”

“We’ve been in the winter, where the best place to sit is inside by the fire; Spring, where the conservatory is nice, and now outside in the summer. My kids love the mac n cheese- and it’s proper home made food with real ingredients. I had a delicious salad with roasted beetroot and fennel, adding on halloumi cheese. Always so much fun to watch the flying lessons with my girls.”

“A nice warm, relaxed pub with a mixture of patrons from young to old. Great friendly bar staff and prices are reasonable. Comfortable seating areas too. Serve Guinness, some ales and some of the usual beers, spirits as standard. Can't ask for much more from a good local pub!”

“The Malt Shovel The Malt Shovel is a real gem right on the canal, where you can sit back and watch the boats drift by. It’s a place that’s clearly well-loved by the boating community, giving it a unique charm and character. Whether you’re passing through or stopping especially, it feels like somewhere you can properly unwind. If you happen to be floating past on a Sunday, do yourself a favour and moor up—their roast is absolutely amazing and well worth making time for.”

“Had a great visit to the Kings Head! The staff were friendly, and the food was tasty with generous portions. The atmosphere was relaxed, perfect for a casual meal and enough space for parties. Only downside was the inconsistency in my favourite Mac and cheese. The last time’s preparation seems rushed, had unusual burnt/black on top and was salty. Overall, a solid spot for a drink or meal.”

“We have just rounded off a fantastic weekend trip to watch the rugby with a fantastic Sunday roast at the White Horse in Richmond. A really brilliant proper pub with a superb Sunday lunch menu that catered for all our family. The Pork Belly bites were incredible and the Cauliflower Cheese you could eat on its own… a must try! The staff were brilliant and easily the nicest roast I’ve had in years!”

“This has become our fav local pub in the summer as it has great outdoor seating. We came in many times and their Sunday roast was lovely. The chicken breast was really juicy and the beef was very well cooked so we are very satisfied with what we have. We also enjoy their steak and fries days as well as it is great value not to mention the huge portion of mussels for 20 quid.”

“Really really enjoyed my first time here at the Stonhouse. My partner and I were recommended here by some friends and their quality of their Sunday roasts. Fair to say it didn’t disappoint! Unfortunately they were out of the beef roast but serves us right for going at dinner time! I had the chicken roast and really enjoyed it. We will be back!”

“We recently had a party in the upstairs function room here and had the most brilliant experience from start to finish! Chris the manager was kind, super helpful and always available to answer my millions of questions! The staff on the night were so lovely and helpful - nothing was too much trouble - and we had our own personal bar attached to the function room which has really handy and meant no long queues for drinks. Highly recommend this unique, chilled venue if you’re looking for a special spot for a party. We also sampled the burgers and they were great - especially the buttermilk chicken burger.”

“My favourite burger in London! It is worth the hype. The patty is still thick and the balance of the pickles and sauce with the fat from the burger and bread. Chefs kiss. Also so cute, they serve it on a tea plate. They don’t open their kitchen on game days.”

“I was yesterday for the first time in this pub and I'm really happy that we came. Me and my friend we had the best time ever. The food was so great. We tried the Fowey Mussels, Maple roast heritage squash cassoulet and as a starter we had Salt & pepper squid and the Pulled beef croquettes. The place is excellent with such a good vibes. I definitely recommend it and 100% we will came back”

“Randomly found The Pavilion pub by chance late Saturday night for a late drink, we were at a private party in the function room of a neighbouring pub called The Greyhound which closed at 12am and we missed the last overground train back to Highbury (we were connecting there via London overground back to West Hampstead). We were walking past and my husband saw people outside smoking and asked if we could come in and the landlady Tina was at the door and welcomed us in so we got a drink for the road met a few lovely people had a little chat, Tina landlady there was a DJ (every Saturday night) met a lovely couple Kevin and Sherrie who helped us with a night bus 176 to Waterloo to connect to the night tube jubilee line back to West Hampstead. We had 3 pints fosters double vodka and coke £16. Very traditional pub no frills not many like this left in London sadly so we were glad to find it and when we are next in SE London we will visit The Pavilion and Tina again.”

“Went first thing when they opened and told them I had never had a Sunday Roast... the women were very pleasant and I sat down with a beer and got the roast beef version. It was very tasty and honestly very well presented. I don't have any comparisons so take that with a grain of salt but I thought it was great.”

“This place is a real gem. Still keeps its old school feel, but with exceptional food and service. Despite being packed to the rafters, the staff had a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. They sell 'Stone and Wood' which is a rare find these days. All the starter snacks were amazing, especially the corn, then mains of pork and burgers were well sized and felt home made. Then we had a cake and they gave us plates/spoons at a fast rate. Hospitality is a tough gig, so want to thank all the staff for their hard work and fab customer service !!”
