“Went with the family and had a wonderful big full fry up breakfast! Mrs made her own choices which was delivered beautifully. We had our little one with us and the King's Diner had a clean child seat which was unexpected but of course gratefully received. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and of course the staff were lovely too. What more can I do but to recommend this place. You and your family will enjoy it.”

“Dinner for pre-Christmas in The Potting Shed. Perfect little room for our party of 10. Seating is great - long table - acoustics there are brilliant- we could all hear each other even with music in the background. Food was pre-ordered and completely as described. Service was fabulous. Communication in advance of the booking was superb. We all had a lovely evening. Would recommend.”

“In summary, I had my birthday party here on Saturday. The staff were so kind, welcoming and charming, and they could not do enough for us. We were there from the afternoon until the evening, so we ended up having some food which we enjoyed very much. Another reviewer said that their chicken burger was dry and I did not have that experience at all. And I'm someone that rarely orders chicken when I'm out because of the amount of times I've had bad experiences with dry, bland chicken. I am happy to report that the chicken in my burger was well-seasoned, moist and succulent, and you could tell the meat was of good quality. I think it might even have been thigh meat, it was that moist, which was a rare pleasure in a chicken burger where you normally get served a piece of breast (and breast can so easily dry out)! Not the case here. My husband had a pork belly dish which he found to be delicious, so much so that he returned the following day to sample their roast dinner. My one note is that the draught beer was unpleasantly bitter and I could not finish either of the half pints I bought (and I opted for a different beer each time so it wasn't a question of my not liking the beer I'd chosen); maybe they need to have a look at their pumps or something. But otherwise, it was a PERFECT day. And once again, I would like to reiterate that the staff were charming. The guy that helped me over the phone and via text when I made the booking was so helpful and communicated well. He kept me abreast of changes and was keen to ensure I was happy with the space I had been given; he even sent me a picture. And when we got there on the day, they were so personable and kind. They create a really special atmosphere, those staff, and they deserve a lot of credit for that.”

“Rising Sun — A Pint of Comfort in Central London If a classic London pub could talk, Rising Sun would probably start with, “Pull up a chair, mate — I’ve got stories to tell.” Nestled on Tottenham Court Road, this spot isn’t just a place to grab a pint; it’s a little urban sanctuary where office chatter, tourist trails, and after-work musings converge. Atmosphere: Think polished wood, warm lighting, and a timeless charm that feels like stepping into a Victorian postcard — gently updated for modern comfort. Sports screens are present but never intrusive, adding energy without drowning conversation. Food: Honest British fare — fish & chips, burgers, Sunday roast. No culinary acrobatics, just solid, satisfying plates. Portions are generous, prices fair (£10–20 range), and vegetarians won’t feel like an afterthought. Drinks: A respectable selection of beers, especially if you appreciate cask ales. The bartenders know their stuff and are happy to guide you toward something you’ll enjoy.”

“Lovely pub. The thing that really struck me was the loos. They *sparkle*. The landlord/lady clearly cares about this place. It feels *nice* to be in. So, it's clearly a sports pub - very close to Selhurst Park - but it's not a typical sports pub. Sure, you can buy Fosters, Carling, Guinness or Strongbow if you want (or Coors if you hate beer and life itself) but also Inchs cider, Camden (Helles and Pale), Madri, Moretti, Staropramen and two real ales. Today it's Doom Bar and Harvey's Sussex Best. The Best is an excellent beer, in excellent condition. Pool table, darts, wood burner, big beer garden out back. Even a (digital) Jukebox. If you want to watch football it's great. If you want a pint it's very good. If about 20 of you want to hang out in the beer garden it's perfect. "Families welcome" it says, and they clearly mean it. A proper pub, but shows that "proper" doesn't have to mean gritty or grotty.”

“We booked for a hen-do lunch at the Windmill Inn at the start of our weekend having flown in to London from Guernsey. We were staying near by and the Windmill staff were very accommodating when we arrived early with all our suitcases. The staff were welcoming and patient with our large group, and our drinks and food were all served in good time. They were happy when we played a couple of civilised hen party games at the table too. The food was really good! Lots of choices to choose from with different options to suit different tastes. It set us up nicely for our weekend of partying! Thank you to the Windmill Inn - we all really enjoyed our few hours with you.”

“An elegant pub with a rich à la carte menu and professional service. Beyond the main bar area, it also offers a series of cozy tables for anyone who prefers a proper sit-down dinner. High-quality food and original dishes, for example I had an excellent sautéed mussels dish (my girlfriend got fish and chips)!”

“A massive change has taken place. The pub has morphed from failing pub to a modern lounge restaurant serving freshly cooked food. Local rumours that it's now a strip joint are untrue and the blacked out windows do hide an expensive refurbishment. Looking more like a high end night club, an exciting new development and great night out.”

“Lovely spot for a Sunday Roast. Took the Misses and some mates here a few weeks ago and the grub was very good and very reasonably priced too. One of the best roast spuds I've had in a pub. Guinness was up there with some of the better pints I've had. Not a massive fan of the inside of the pub, bit like a sports club I prefer more of a dirty old mans boozer, but it has a cracking beer garden for the sunny days. I'd return for a summers sesh on the ciders.”
