“I've eaten here a few times now with a group of friends and we have always had a fabulous time. The duck is the best I've ever eaten and my rare steak was perfect. The cocktails take a moment but are worth waiting for. There are usually six of us who eat together and a couple of them can be quite fussy but we regularly come back to Alcedo as we have never had a complaint from our group. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional.”

“AMAZING birria tacos! Have already been back 2 more times. Great food. Only drawback, the birria taco combo does travel well if you get a takeaway. After the 20mins journey home the tacos were soggy & the other ones were hard. The atmosphere was not bad. There just wasn't any. Outdoor seating in a shared space.”

The highlight of our meal was the unforgettable Cretan Pot salad—a true masterpiece of flavor and presentation. It featured a perfect mix of cherry tomatoes, olives, onions, green onions, orange, potato, artichokes, and basil vinaigrette, all brought together with the luxurious richness of staka butter cream. The kicker? It was served in a real terra cotta pot, looking just like a potted plant—a whimsical and delightful surprise. And the taste? Ridiculously delicious—every bite felt like a celebration of fresh, perfectly balanced ingredients. Their selection of orange and natural wines was equally impressive, perfectly complementing the vibrant, earthy flavors of the food. We left feeling completely satisfied, yet already planning our next visit. “From the first sip of the fresh fresh apple juice, we knew this place was top tier. Crumbs Coffee is one of those hidden gems places. The atmosphere is quaint but perfect, the staff were welcoming and the food was pretty unreal. We got a veg omelette and Nutella strawberry waffels and have to give it a 12/10 rating. Will be coming back again and spreading the word.”

“Excellent Battersea pub just off Northcote Road about 15 minutes walk from Clapham Junction Railway Station. Three cask beers - and one cider - on handpump when I visited including an old ale. Lots of outdoor seating at the front and in the covered beer garden to the rear. Very friendly staff and a great feel about the place helped by lots of customers with dogs!”

“One of the best steaks I've had in London - ordered the wagyu and the flat iron steak. Sides were amazing too. Very friendly staff as well. The free ice-cream at the end of the meal was a sweet perfect end to the entire experience. I will definitely come back here the next time I visit London.”

We took the usual flat iron, but also the sirloin and bavette, which is on of my all time favorite cuts. The ice cream at the end is always a good desert. And the old fashioned was reasonably priced and very well made. Make sure you order a table ahead, as it can get very busy.”

“Tried this place again as first time when it opened I was a little disappointed with the miso soup and gunkan which I found to be too salty and flavourless. This did not disappoint this time, the bubble tea was refreshing (ordered with less ice and less sugar), the food was delicious and decent portion sizes. Could pick up wasabi, pickled ginger and soy sauce for free as additions. Very friendly customer service, patient and helpful with all my questions and changing my mind. I plan to return here again, lovely place!”

“This place deserves much higher review points. Everything is perfect. Literally perfect It has been around many years. Feels so cosy with carpet and cushion decoration. Lighting and music really on point and good. Really helpful staff. Enough time between the meals. Had beef tartare and tempura squid and prawn as a starter. Burger and beef stroganoff for main. Cost around £60 per person inc service charge which is really reasonable for the quality they are providing. Thanks”

“It was so good we’re definitely going back again. We had the copa ham & mackerel pate to start which were both really delicate. Followed by the cabbage which, I don’t normally get excited by cabbage but this was great! Super flavours and dressing. We also had the fish noodles which were like pasta but again really delicate. I had the char siu pork which was incredible value for money and we had to have the prawn toast. This is more like a donut texture with prawns inside covered in a mountain of Parmesan - amazing! Booking a table is recommended”
