“An Italian style coffee shop. Excellent coffee which is smooth and strong. The cakes are really great and home made. Very reasonable price as well. The lunch options are paninis, sandwiches and salad bowls, plus baked potatoes and priced between £3.50 and £8.50. Cakes £2.90 Coffees around £2-3 with Americano £2.40 and cappuccino £2.70. This is a friendly cafe with outdoor seating and ideal for coffee and cake whilst out shopping or light lunches with friends. A really lovely addition to this fast improving High Street.”

“It is the third year we celebrate the birthday of my son in Kukolala. Definitely a hidden treasure. The party was based in the garden. The decoration is amazing, all parents mentioned how beautiful it is. They adjusted the menu to the needs of my son, most of it was gluten free. The owner prepared the party with a lot of love, she prepared activities for the kids and was looking after all details (Easter eggs hunt, paddle jumping, colouring, piñata) As a mum of a child with SEND, I can’t recommend the place enough. They have sand pit, bouncy castle, beautiful lights, popcorn machine, candy flush… very sensory. There was prepared a station with tea and chilli con carne for parents. Feel very safe for SEND kids, with no possibility to elope, all parents were relaxed and children really happy.”

“Gina’s is the best. We’ve been struggling to find some good quality, authentic Ghanaian food and we’ve finally found it. Everyone was so lovely - our server especially. The restaurant was quite busy but she did an amazing job. The food was a little slow to come out but honestly worth the wait, and with the songs they were playing and the vibe of the restaurant we really didn’t mind. We’re definitely coming back again ❤️”

“What a wonderful group Christmas meal we have just had. The food was generous and delicious. The printing of nameplates with food choice of each guest was genius. Festive decorations and crackers to pull made the atmosphere lovely and christmassy. Being able to pay with cash also helped for those without bank accounts!”

“Only been frequenting the pub for a couple of months, and I really like it. It's an old school pub with great food. Traditional Italian pizzas, and good burgers. The staff are brilliant, and make you feel welcomed. This place has character, and everyone has time for a chat and bit of banter. Absolutely no animosity here. There's always sport on, and Molly the manager, has no problem changing the channels to suit what game you want to watch. There's live music on Fridays, and a quiz once a month. Customers are very diverse and great to chat with the locals. I highly recommend.”

“Needed a cheap place to stay while I visited London with my wife and with all the uncertainty of travel, this hotel felt really nice to get back to at the end of the day. Wonderful staff. Very nice people. Cleaning service was great. After the full week, I would say it was easily worth the money. It's not too far from the train stations so it didn't feel too far out of the way from visiting points.”

With a bit more attention to speed, this could easily become a go-to spot.”

“Lovely place with generous portions and tasty food! The juices are insane, I got the apple, kiwi, pear and celery energizer, it was so fresh and zingy! We tried the musaka and the booster breakfast, both came with salad and filled us up! Be aware though the platters have a generous amount of olive oil in them! Great value and tasty food, must try if you're in the area!”

“Already planning our next visit! I’m a coeliac and this is one of the best gluten-free dining experiences I’ve had. The choice of food is just incredible, and everything I ate was sublime. The hamachi jalapeño sushi was gorgeous, as was the cold char siu chicken. The stand out dish for me was miso buta kakuni - perfectly tender pork belly in miso with a lovely jammy egg. My non-coeliac partner had chicken katsu with curry sauce, and he said the chicken was the best he’s ever had. We also shared the truffle fries which were 10/10. Service was fantastic - very friendly and attentive. Food came out promptly which was great as we were starving! I cannot wait to come back for a gluten free katsu! £95 for two cocktails, two sharers, rice, sushi, katsu, fries, and service. Really good value and the portion sizes are very generous.”
