“Stumbled across this wonderful place whilst on our way to a different gastropub. Glad we ended up here instead! We went for a Sunday roast with the Haddock and chips which was well made and good value. Atmosphere was cosy, though it was fully booked on Sunday we sat in the back garden which had heaters above each table. Only criticism is that we were asked to move to a different table due to a group booking midway through our meal. But otherwise everything else was fantastic!”

The buildings facilities were continually maintained to a high standard through the day. Easy to get to on the DLR and great views of the runway to watch some planes take off and land. “Wonderful calming atmosphere - nice furniture, good lighting, Classic FM gently playing. But not the place to go if you're in a rush! I visited a couple months ago and will return soon. The owner makes lovely strong coffee (I had the macchiato, so I'm sure there are gentler brews!) and takes great care in making sandwiches to order. He's an elderly guy so he's quite slow, but I didn't mind at all. And all for such a low price that I forgot I was even in London!!”
