“Had a weekend away in the Peak District and was visiting nearby towns. Came across this lovely little cafe in a small town not to far from where we were staying (Whaley bridge). We ordered the egg and avacado toast which was yummy!! The hot chocolate was really rich and just perfect. What attracted me to this cafe was the mostly vegetarian menu. The cafe was also a walking distance from Millennium walkway is another great place to visit!”

He runs Greek nights also and the dishes are fantastic, with loads of variety. I would highly recommend anyone to drop in and sample some of John's tasty treats, you won't be disappointed xx”

“I’ll start my review by saying that I’ve eaten at all the so called ‘best Indian Restaurants’ locally and to be fair there are a few good ones but often victims of their own success. However, in my opinion, Spice Bistro is up there amongst the best and from the meals I’ve eaten, it is by far the best Indian Restaurant around the Tameside and Glossop area. The meat they serve is so very tender, full of flavour and simply melts in your mouth and this is complimented by the curry sauces which have so much flavour they make you drool. The portion sizes are exceptional because they are thick and not full of oil or watery sauce and if you order a takeaway the foil container is full to the top. I can’t compliment the quality of the food enough…….it is that good. As a side note, the staff are incredibly polite, helpful and chatty but most important they are humble and respectful and this creates a happy vibe around the restaurant. If you have not eaten here before, believe me it will become your no. 1 go to restaurant for a curry. The cost of a curry from here is similar to a kebab from a takeaway and my only regret is that I haven’t eaten from here more often. The restaurant is not the biggest in the world but that’s a bonus as it allows the staff to look after their customers and give them an enjoyable experience. I cannot praise this restaurant highly enough!”

“Lovely place! Prices are excellent, the portions are very generous and the flavor and presentation doesn’t disappoint. The woman and the boy that served were friendly! It was a bit packed and it’s a bit small but we didn’t wait more than 20 minutes once we order.”

The food was top notch, the wine pairings complimented the dishes impeccably, the service was perfect and the overall experience certainly worth the price. We chose the a la carte menu but we will be going back for the taster menu very soon. 2 starters, 2 mains with 2 side dishes, along with 2 desserts with their desert wine pairings went for around £70 pp which for the experience and quality was beyond worth it.”

“Beautiful, fine-dining restaurant with fabulous food, cooked by very talented chefs, and a wonderfully attentive service/front of house team. Thank you so much for making my aunt's 90th birthday such a special one and kindly allowing us to bring our own cake which was brought to the table in perfect timing and then cut for us beautifully. A family favourite of ours! 'Adult family' favourite, I may add. I wouldn't say it was a 'young family restaurant' as such. More of an adult dining experience, especially perfect for special events. To me, it feels special without being pretentious. The staff have always been incredibly kind, friendly and helpful; wanting you to enjoy your time with them. Thank you again. “Excellent gem in culcheth village. We had lunch with all dishes being fantastic and the buffalo chicken one of the best if not the best I’ve ever had.
