“We love it at The Hale Pizza Express. We come on a weekly basis knowing we will be warmly greeted by Massimo. The food is always perfect and tweaked to our liking. It’s a nice touch knowing our order and having personal conversation. Couldn’t recommend Massimo and his team of friendly waiters and top notch pizza chefs enough. 6 stars”

“I attended a little bambino pizza making event in the summer holidays with my son and was impressed with the friendliness and hospitality of all the staff. My son had a great time kneading the dough and preparing his own pizza. He was very proud of the finished pizza. It was a wonderful afternoon and amazing value for money. “If there was an option for 6 stars, this pub would get it. Came here after a walk in the area and walked in to friendly staff and a warm fire. It was a weekday so not so busy we got a table straight away. You think it can't get better. It does. The pie was amazing, mash was amazing and gravy was amazing too. Such lovely food we had to get dessert and that was, as predicted, amazing. Can't wait to come back here again and try the other food on the menu, really exceptionally good pub to come.”

The food here is phenomenal—every dish is bursting with flavor and feels incredibly authentic. Chef Dahanaka’s expertise is evident in every bite. “Had a lovely experience at the village cafe today, was greeted by the lovely waitress ella who seated us immediately alll the staff were so lovely and there was no wait with our food, which tasted absolutely amazing i ordered the Breakfast wrap which was absolutely delicious and the smoothie was so yummy. “I am from Arizona, but I served a Mormon mission here back in 1980 and this was the one place that had the best burgers in the world better than any that I have in America. And so literally I’ve been coming back for 43 years to this same place and same location. Their hamburgers and onion rings are second to none. And the lady that’s been serving us has been there 27 years, that’s crazy. When we bring my kids over and grandkids this is their favorite stop, we purchase takeout and then we walk across the street to the picnic tables and enjoy the best burgers around.”

“This is our 2nd visit here ( we dont live locally) so our visita are far apart. The food on both occasions was delicious. We shared the CAMEMBERT for two, with 4 slices of toasted Ciabatta and red onion relish. Extremely tasty. I had the Lentil Cottage pie with vegetables. Really tasty. Hunters chicken was very tasty too. We ate outside. Then went inside for a coffee and to investigate this lovely old house. I read and looked at the photographs on the walls and found out it had belonged to The Boddington Family. Staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly.”

The standard is restaurant quality at takeaway prices. In fact, better than some Chinese restaurants I've been to! Love the Szechuan Aubergine!! The owners are lovely, humble and friendly. “Very good first impressions. Everything was delicious and set a really high standard. It had the right level of spice and nice combination of flavours. Chips were not soggy and my grilled chicken burger with double cheese was cooked to perfection. Service was professional and also very welcoming. Was informed food would be ready for collection within 15 minutes. And that it was. Food was Fresh. Nice little takeaway, definitely recommend.”

“I've been here twice, absolutely amazing food both times. The first time I got the Turkish eggs which were amazingly delicious with nice soft bread served alongside. The second time I got a lunch dish, the black garlic gnocchi with artichokes. It was absolutely delicious. I hadn't expected that much flavour from a vegetarian dish but it was mind-blowing from the first bite. Chef Emily and Chef Danny are geniuses in the kitchen, I've never had food so good before! Service was brilliant, my server Grace was so friendly and I didn't have to wait for a seat either time. The restaurant is quite busy because the food is so good, but if you do have to wait it's well worth it. I'll definitely be back for more, the food was worth every penny.”
