“Really nice guys and owners, especially the ones working at the back in the meat section. We were new to the area and came across their shop by chance. When we went in to ask them about their meat, they were kind enough to give us a free box of marinated chicken for stir fry. We’ve just cooked it now, and it was the best chicken stir fry we’ve ever had. Miles better than what you would get at a takeaway. Ingredients and spices were all fresh, none of the pre-packaged sauces or spices. More than happy to come back and buy our meat from here and definitely try other stuff too.”

“Superb food, friendly helpful staff, what more could you ask for? Having not eaten here before we decided to try a few dishes and had the chicken pad Thai, chicken drunken noodles, spring rolls, prawn toast, spicy chicken wings and a king prawn dish whose name escapes me. Oh and prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce. No complaints at all. The food was stunning and was devoured by the whole family. My daughter was caught off guard by how spicy the pad Thai was but she had a feast of everything else.”

“My son and I went in half 6 Saturday evening having just phoned ahead to check. Pub was bustling with a good atmosphere and the restaurant was filling up. Lovely friendly staff tended to us throughout the meal which was delicious! I had the chicken fillet, which had lovely crispy skin and the caramelised onion and potato gratin was fantastic and all held together with a great sauce. He had rump steak, medium rare, which was really nicely cooked. Desserts were equally good. I had sticky toffee pudding which was moist with lots of toffee sauce and a really generous helping of ice cream. He had the chocolate and salted caramel cake which was chocoholics heaven! Highly recommended.”

“Gatley Tandoori Restaurant which is next door and separate to it's Takeaway. I visited for a family birthday celebration. Parking was on the street unfortunately some people had a walik. The restaurant doesn't have a alcohol licence but a supermarket and off licence are close by, the restaurant has information about them post on a wall. A number of children were present at our function and they were catered for. The staff were very polite and accommodating even with the children. A birthday cake was presented to the guest of honour. I can't testify as to whether or not the property is adequately wheelchair accessible as I'm not wheelchair bound but I can add that they do have disability toilet facilities grab bars and handrails etc. Hot & cold water was available (I've been to properties that don't have hot water). The property was clean and and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately I can't vouch for the vegetarian or dietary options. A Good time was had by all.”

“My first experience with an Ocado delivery. My property is difficult to find, and the driver (Steven) called and politely asked for help locating me. He took care loading my items for bringing up my steps, which, due to my COPD, was greatly appreciated. Lovely driver, friendly and very polite.”

“Been here a few times over the years but first visit since 2020. A very traditional restaurant that has had a much needed make over; including finally updating the toilets. Draught Cobra is always welcome. They currently offer half price food from 5 pm to 6.30pm Monday to Thursday. Jorvic really enjoyed the food. All the classic dishes. Had very fresh poppadums with a generous pickle tray. Tasty lamb tikka and chilli chicken. Two good mains with one pilau rice and one naan. This food plus 4 pints less than £50. Food much improved from last visit. Will be back. They also do a good trade in take away, the phone constantly rings.”

Tonight ordered a delivery and it arrived (Just Eat) after a long 70 minutes wait. The curry was leaking from it's container and the poppadoms were burnt - not just overcooked but charred around their edges : and they thought it acceptable to send them to a customer. No”

I had the quad smashed burger and it was next-level—juicy, flavour-packed, and cooked to perfection. The chicken burger and wings? Just as impressive. Crispy, tender, and seriously satisfying. What really stood out was the service. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. We even got a custom milkshake whipped up on request—and it was top-tier. Plenty of parking too. “Duncan was fantastic to deal with,, arranged collection with my customer and delivered to me the next day, didn’t have to pay until my goods were photographed in the back of the delivery vehicle, then sent pictures of the goods delivered to my address, highly recommend and would use again, I would recommend for eBay purchases, cheaper than me driving to pick up.”
