“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re after a comforting roast, a special night out, or just a few drinks in a warm atmosphere, this place delivers every time. “Went as a couple to celebrate a birthday, easy to book online with SMS confirmation and a reminder. Seated to within a few minutes if arriving. We were placed to the back where it's a larger open plan room and were sat next to a large group, also celebrating with noisy (well behaved just noisy) children and where the cutlery station is. As I had a headache, I asked if we could be moved to a table near the front and the gentlemen kindly moved us to a quiet "nook". Think he was the manager, really appreciated this. We were served by William; friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Checked on whether we wanted additional drinks and gravy, and timed it when we didn't have food in our mouths :) We had the Sunday sharer, hats off to Alex the grill chef. Food was hot, portions are decent. 2 big fluffy Yorkshires and the meat was cooked just as ordered, not fatty and very juicy. Would recommend.”

“I recently dined at Sud Pasta and was thoroughly impressed by all the dishes we eat, the house sugo pasta dish was undoubtedly the highlight and was one of the best pasta dishes I've had the pleasure of tasting. The flavours were rich and perfectly balanced, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. To complement the meal, we enjoyed a reasonably priced 1-liter carafe of red wine, which added to the overall delightful experience. Highly recommed this place!”

“Stepping into Turquoise in Cheadle is like being warmly hugged by a restaurant that knows its own character inside out. The décor isn’t trying to impress with chandeliers or glitter thankfully but instead wraps you in warmth with local artwork on the walls that feels like it’s been chosen by someone who actually likes art not someone who just Googled “restaurant paintings.” It’s inviting homely and gives you the sense that whether you’re bringing the family for a big feast or sneaking in for a romantic dinner for two you’re in the right place. Now the food. This is where Turquoise flexes its muscles. Take the full English. It’s not a plate of sadness and regret it’s a proper spread. The sausages aren’t your usual limp Richmonds. No these beauties taste like they’ve just been pinched from a farmer who still sings to his livestock. I don’t even like sausages usually but these have that magic balance meaty juicy and full of intent. And if you fancy they’ll happily swap one out for a Turkish sausage which adds a little drama to the plate like inviting a flamenco dancer to your breakfast table. Their Mediterranean and Turkish dishes carry the same ethos generous but never sloppy bold but never brash. You can tell nothing’s rushed here. It all tastes fresh like someone actually cared as they stirred the pot. The staff are relaxed happy and with that ease that says “We’d rather be here than anywhere else.” They don’t hover like suspicious pigeons nor do they vanish when you need them they’re just right. And the value. Well it’s excellent. Other places might leave you nursing the sting of buyer’s remorse but here you walk away content your wallet intact and your taste buds gently applauding. Turquoise doesn’t just feed you it reminds you that food cooked with love and pride makes everything better. And if you’re lucky the sausages might even wink at you on the way out”

“From the excellent reviews, I was expecting a lot. I wasn't disappointed. The menu contains the traditional tapas options, with the odd twist. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered 6 tapas between the two of us. This ended up being quite a bit of food. We still managed it though. Some dishes are on the pricey side, but the quality made them worth it. The mushrooms in cream, the pork belly and the albondigas (with cheese) were the highlights. But, as mentioned, everything was delicious.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience celebrating my sister’s birthday! I initially came across the restaurant on Google while searching for gluten-free options, and I love how it caters so thoughtfully to people with allergies. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Huge thanks especially to Salvador, he went above and beyond to explain gluten-free options and made the evening truly memorable. The restaurant’s decor, the cake, and the food created a warm, celebratory atmosphere. My sister was submitting her master’s thesis on the same day and wasn’t initially in a celebratory mood, but the team made the day unforgettable. I had the Spaghetti Aragosta e Gamberoni and asked for extra chili and a slice of lemon, and Ericka provided it quickly with a friendly, helpful attitude, her service was great as well. Compliments to the chef too: my sister had the gluten- free pizza and said it was the best she’s ever had! Thank you again, Salvador, we will definitely be back. It’s service like this that makes places truly memorable!”

“I came here for my 30th birthday. The staff were so attentive and friendly, they honestly can not do much more for you here they are lovely. All the food was just gorgeous and fresh! Especially the chicken bhuna , lamb khari and biriyani. In fact it was all so nice including the starters and even the chutney tray with poppadoms , I’m making my self hungry thinking of it all. I would recommend everything especially the festive Dhal and rice/ sprout bhajis/ Padron pakora korma/ The world famous okra fries-superb!! Also the classic Burl Puri and the mung bean chatpata/ chole saag and vada pav are all stunning genuine delights. As a regular of bundobust in Manchester I cannot recommend them highly enough.”
