“Always get my hair cut here. Sharon and Dawn are lovely and cuts are very reasonably priced for gents. Sharon is my hairdresser, has been since I moved to Manchester 13yrs ago. If you stick with a hairdresser this long there's a good reason! That being said the salon is very popular locally so highly recommended for gents and ladies alike.”

“A lovely evening out with family, celebrating an 85th birthday. Can't fault food or service. Has been refurbed since my last visit. Would recommend to others, make sure you book a table. They offer take out as well”

“Went for a meal for my partners birthday as a party of 9, staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough to help us, extremely welcoming from the start. The food was lovely and came within reasonable time for the amount of food we ordered I personally got the lamb rogan Josh and was worried the lamb would be quite fatty but it was perfect and no fat on it! My partner had the chicken tikka masala along with 2 other people on our table who all complimented how delicious it was, staff were back and forth taking drink orders and bringing stuff to our table, also accommodated children preparing them a meal they’d eat. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back! Thankyou everyone!”

“I went to Coal and Cotton twice within two weeks, first time with husband and sister in law, was atclynch time, so not too noisy, as it was lunch time. The atmosphere was quite but still lovely so you could talk. Went the second week with a friend for tea in the evening, was alot busier but still not too busy, so it was still a lovely atmosphere. The food is always lovely, I just think the main potions don't have to be so large. The only thing I was gutted was I forgot to use my loyalty card, I just think it would be a good idea if a member of staff could ask if you have a loyalty card.”

They are fantastic at their jobs—friendly, efficient, and always with a smile that brightens your visit. Their dedication and great service truly deserve recognition, and honestly, they should both get a raise for the amazing work they do. If you're in the area, this chippy is a must-visit!”

“Had a takeaway yesterday from here and it was excellent. The food was properly hot and fresh and the portion size was good. The prices seem very good to me, a lot cheaper than where I live anyway. Highly recommend.”

“I actually live in Preston( but come here due to good prices , fast and efficient services , no waiting around , staff are friendly, card payment accepted, then you have Tesco nearby so parking is great , you also have KFC, McDonald's , subway and walkden shopping centre nearby”

“Just a gorgeous spot in the middle of the woods. Beautiful house on the far bank and good for bird life. Paths mainly along one side and the top end with a jetty offering some good close ups to the ducks and swans. Really good for kids and wildlife alike.”

“Love this place, very relaxed atmosphere. Dogs welcome, little treats to buy on the counter so our little furry friends can join in. Good menu, sourdough toast, smashed avocado etc, pie selection and sweet treats also. Can eat outside or in.”

“I visit here quite a lot with my partner as the food is always great and he just loves the hot chocolate from there. The staff are always polite and great to talk to while you wait, if they are not busy of course serving other customers. It's a warm friendly environment with places to sit both in and out the establishment. If you're on the move they do indeed do take out. The food and drink are always piping hot so you it's going to be good. Just don't do a me where I've been to impatient and drank/ate it before it cooled down.”

“Whereas the store is well stocked with lots of items available at a good price, I have had the misfortune of being served by the same checkout assistant twice recently - neither of which was a pleasant experience. The first time, I was overcharged as an item was scanned too many times and I had to chase her round the store to get it corrected. The second time (today), I asked for bags which she opened angrily and then virtually threw at me. Not only that, I went to take my receipt and she repeatedly moved her hand away from me as she wasn’t concentrating. I can’t think of any reason why this behaviour was needed and so I think a bit of customer service training would be appropriate. Edit: Today I decided to give Quality Save another go as a member of my family said that they had been very impressed with the customer service after their visit late last week. I can honestly say there has been a vast improvement in the quality of customer service. A lovely member of staff went above and beyond to help me find hot water bottles today so I’m now sat nice and warm with a Quality Save hot water bottle...great value and great service! New update: The staff at this branch deserve a medal for working in such foul smelling conditions this morning caused by the work to the new business next door. As a customer, I felt sick and couldn’t stop coughing...but at least I was able to leave quite swiftly. The toxic fumes can’t have been doing their health any good at all.”
