Tasted like real Eastern European cooked in the home, which is actually what the lovely host told us: all cooked by his wife. Unbelievable desert, nothing was too heavy, but rich and layered tastes. “Fantastic restaurant serving freshly cooked Palestinian food of a high standard and with lovely warm service that is attentive and efficient. We’ve eaten at many Middle Eastern restaurants and this is one the best we’ve been to. The Knafeh is excellent and ends a wonderful meal. We also loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and strawberry, mango and pineapple smoothie! If only they had Palestinian ice cream!”

“I'd highly recommend eating at the Clink, the food was great and it was for a good cause. We would visit again if we're in the area. Perfect if you're visiting Quarry Bank. We had a lovely Sunday dinner here, with the lovely veg and roasties. The charred mackeral starter was marvellous, as was the panna cotta. The staff were pleasant, with great service and reasonable prices. Good toilet facilties, including disabled loo. Access ramp in place for wheeled entry, terrain mostly flat with parking located near the entrance”

“This is without a doubt my favourite restaurant. So far, it is the only place I have found outside of Italy to serve fresh, authentic Italian foods. My partner is Italian, and hence a harsh critic. Casa Italia has won his approval and we both come here regularly. It is clear that the people posting negative reviews about frozen food have never eaten here. There is an open kitchen where you can watch the chef cooking delicious food, all from fresh ingredients. Service is attentive, the atmosphere welcoming, and the food exceptional. I would recommend anything on the menu. But for me, two stand out dishes are the polpette Di carne (beef meatballs with a cheese centre) and the formaggi fusi (a bubbling dish of melted Italian cheeses)”

“First time here and it didnt disappoint! Great service and great food! Steak was cooked to perfection, corn ribs were yummy and the half rack of ribs were super tasty! Had a chocolate milkshake for dessert too! Overall good value for money! Car park gets a bit hectic at busy times but still seemed to be spaces available.”

“Very good service from the waiters. The food is pretty good. The fried chicken has a lovely coating and is very crispy with very juicy meat underneath. The coconut rice is fragrant with coconut but also it is not sticky. A very interesting texture I don't usually have. The sambal taste amazing. Lovely flavours of the anchovies. The chicken satay was the best I had so far compared to the supermarket stuff. Proper char and the peanut sauce taste great. I'm really happy that the sambal was not spicy not because I can't tolerate spice but it's because I can taste the flavours. Not a criticism but the price is very high. So if you got the money, go for it.”

We tried a lot of dishes and I can say that this is definitely a higher end Indian, not drowned in sauces, these dishes were well balanced, full of flavour and spiced well. “If I were to describe Manjaros in a nutshell, I'd say it was Nandos with a twist. There are a few different options from the traditional grilled chicken which are worth trying. The prices are steep, but the portions are very large and you need to have a very large appetite to finish your plate completely! You also get enough seating for large groups as well as proper table service with waiters and everything - something which really sets the experience apart. Look out for the excellent discounts that may pop up from time to time, making this place incredibly good value. If you enjoy this sort of cuisine, I suggest you give it a shot. It's well worth it. Oh, and it can get quite busy so to avoid disappointment make sure you call up and reserve a table before visiting.”

The restaurant is clean, the service is smooth and fast, and the staff was truly excellent. As for the food, the fillet steak with green peppercorns was superb, the seafood risotto was excellent, and the breaded cheese. “Excellent food and great atmosphere. The poppadom sauces are some of the best I have had. We had Chicken Momocha for a starter (shared) which says it's a 20 mins wait. It is worth it. They are these beautiful curried dumplings which is such an interesting combination. For mains we both picked off the specials menu and were not disappointed.
