“We had our son's 11th birthday party here recently, and it was a great experience - it's such good value, especially the bowling time, the arcade games and the food is lovely. Aleina in particular was a wonderful host who took really good care of us all. This is the third year in a row we've had birthday parties at the Light, and it never disappoints!”

Good food in the attached restaurant and bar. The recent production of Dickens' Christmas Carol was brilliant and entertaining. Highly recommended venue. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Today was my first time going. It is a great day out for the family. All I paid was for parking witch a flat fee for the day. The park was massive and catered for all ages. The facilities were really good, also the cafe was average priced witch was really good n made a decent coffee.”

“This place is five ⭐ stars!! Afternoon event for a Holy Communion! Food, atmosphere and staff all amazing. A sense that they all enjoy their work!! Very clean and probably the best breakfast food I’ve had in years! Perfection!! Value for money also was a 5/5!!!! My son who has autism enjoyed his food and ate it so that’s a big compliment!!! “We used Gizmo's to look after our cat (also coincidentally called Gizmo) while we went on holiday and I am so happy with the service. They came everyday whilst away ensured that Gizmo was fed and happy, the service they provide is hassle free and we had no worries whilst away. We even got updates which we loved. “I can’t recommend Phil enough. He’s been walking our dog Winnie for several years now, and our beloved Treacle before that. Winnie is always up at the window in the morning waiting for her bestie, or uncle Phil as he is affectionately known in our household. When he’s here she’ll bark then go zooming out to him, helping herself into his car most times, tail going like the clappers. She always has the most fun and although she loves dunking and getting into anything gross and dirty, Phil makes sure she comes back to us in a reasonable state!”

“Initial swim school is an amazing place to learn to swim or keep up the practice. The instructor are patient and knowledgeable and help you with every step until your comfortable. The swimming pool is a good length and the environment is good.”

“Always fun! Staff are always amazing. Young people got to canoe, paddle board and donut! They absolutely loved it!”

“Childhood walking area, nice field at the start where dogs can run around. Small stream that dogs can get a drink or play in. You can walk further into the wooded area and up to a disused rail line and reservoir, leading further onto the moors. Dogs and people are able to get down to the water.”

“We had a lovely time at the Lakeside Adventure Park in Heaton Park yesterday. The children enjoyed playing for an extended period, and Heaton Park itself is truly beautiful.”

“A pretty little gardens, great in all seasons, especially autumn when all the leaves change colour. In spring the flowers are beautiful and vibrant. Good place for a short walk with the dog, although dogs are kept on leads which is good for nervous dogs or puppies.”

However, Irene reassured me with her professional demeanour, sterile studio, and clear details on how to clean my piercing. Definitely would go back to! Also, if you’re a female getting an intimate area pierced, she’s a good lady to go to!”

“Excellent pizzas! If you want great pizza for very little money and without the hassle of having to hang out with the in crowd Pix Pizza is the place for you. During my visit I noticed it was very family friendly too. I had the wild boar salami and green chilli pizza and my partner enjoyed his n'duja and mozzarella. The pizzas come with a small portion of some kind of mystery mayonnaise that makes the excess pizza crust taste delightful as well. They have some starters and a few desserts and they serve alcohol but one pizza was enough for a filling and delicious meal. Service was prompt and charming. Highly recommended.”

“Visited Romulus last night for the first time and the food was absolutely beautiful.. the nicest Italian I have ever had. I had the minestrone soup which was delicious followed by pan fried breaded chicken with tomato spaghetti on the side and my god it was to die for… also this was on the set menu 2 courses I think it was like £19 each…The staff are so nice they can’t do enough for you and also really funny. We had a ball in there last night. Will defo be back. Can’t recommend enough.”

“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. “They'd just opened, I plonked myself on a seat and ordered a breakfast muffin, it's literally still in my hand now and it's 'effin delicious. Friendly and quick service, freshly cooked and I live nowhere near but ill come again when I'm on training at the brewery. Could not recommend more.”
