I'm so thankful as he wouldn't normally have come this far north to Morecambe from Manchester. If you want him and you do want him, bribe him with a comfy bed and homemade dinners. You will have to drag him in though as he's a perfectionist and workaholic. Excuse the net, it's an unfortunate necessity for the heron and the fox.”

“We absolutely adore Siân's SEN Holiday Forest School Sessions. We joined in the summer of 2023 and quickly fell in love with the holiday sessions. It can be quite challenging when our usual group activities come to a halt, as our entire family thrives on structure and routine. Our daughter has an immense passion for the outdoors and revels in any messy or sensory play. If it were up to her, she'd make the great outdoors her permanent home! Right from day one, Sian extended a warm welcome and dedicated time to truly understand how our daughter prefers to engage. She has patiently built a strong connection with our daughter at her own pace. The activities provided are nothing short of amazing, especially for our daughter, who immerses herself fully in sensory experiences (as you can see in the photos!). Furthermore, the lunch and snacks offered here are fantastic. Our daughter can be quite particular about her safe and unsafe foods, but every visit here has her enjoying the delicious lunch provided. We sincerely appreciate the tremendous effort you put into creating safe and nurturing environments for children with special educational needs. ❤️”

“Really nice lil cafe, friendly staff, the coffee here is amaaaaazingly good a must try also the food looks top drawer!!! Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“A pretty little gardens, great in all seasons, especially autumn when all the leaves change colour. In spring the flowers are beautiful and vibrant. Good place for a short walk with the dog, although dogs are kept on leads which is good for nervous dogs or puppies.”

“Visited again last week. I absolutely love this place. Hidden gem. Great place to bring teenagers who prefer quiet, young adults who may be anxious and not enjoy the crowds. Can walk around as many times as like and discover all animals. Gorgeous pigs, donkeys, goats and chickens enjoying themselves. There are ping pong tables for a quick out side game, children's play equipment. A river to walk along. A cafe to sit have a snack and drink. Squirrels running up and down the trees. Some animals look like they are rescue animals and are obviously being taken care of by the farm.”

From arrival to departure, everything was handled smoothly and with a genuine smile. The reception team made every interaction pleasant and easy, always ready with helpful information and quick solutions. The hotel itself is spacious, clean, and very well looked after, with rooms that are tidy, comfortable, and hygienic. “A quiet little place to chill and relax. Just over the canal from Canal Street. It's the home of the Tree of Life and the Beacon of Hope memorials dedicated to those who have lost to their lives to AIDS. It's also the home of the Alan Turing memorial. This is a lovely place to visit during the day but, as I've been told, it can be a little bit different at night as there is very little lighting.”

“We took 50 children from our holiday club ice skating here and the staff were exceptionally friendly and got us all in time for our session, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience!”

“We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.”

“Having this place 3 doors down is dangerous...quite possibly the best Chinese takeaway I've tried, great balance of flavours, and not too salty, which can be the downfall to a lot of places. Absolutely the biggest portion sizes I've seen, and still the same price as you'd expect. Friendly staff, too.”

The setting itself is lovely, relaxed, and perfect for a weekend treat. Our server, Jasmine, was absolutely brilliant — so attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well looked after from start to finish. We honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. Highly recommended!”

“Such a grand place! Just the other day I went in to B&M only just to buy one item and ended up with a trolley loads goodies, The staff are great and helpful!! Oh! Girls watch out I’m coming in this Sunday with the missus!! So trust me we’ll be coming out with a trolley load of assorts of goodies!! They actually do everything!! I Love this place!!”

“This is a big B&M that has tons of housewares to choose. Also, a garden center is available at the outdoor store. There are lots of parking spaces provided and the maximum stay time is 120 minutes, which is good enough to go through every column in store.”

“First time today, the food was amazing!!! Loved the option for a two/three course meal at around £23. The Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was seasoned!! And tasted so good and the portion size was perfect. The cookie desert was so tasty! Again the flavours were amazing. Defo coming back again.”

“Parsonage Gardens located right behind Deansgate is a little green oasis nestled between several large buildings near the River Irwell. It is the location of the former St. Mary's Church, which was built in 1756.”

“Excellent store which has an amazing variety of Aussie Cadbury chocolates including Dream, Cherry Ripe, Violet Crumble, Mint Twirl, Twirl Caramilk, Cadbury Top Deck (Dream & Milk Chocolate), Cadbury Marble and the Cadbury Favourites selection box. The Favourites is the Aussie equivalent of Miniature Heroes (or Heroes as it is now called), but way better. It has Dream, Cadbury Milk Chocolate original, Cadbury Caramello, Moro, Flake, Boost, Picnic, Crunchie and Turkish Delight. The prices are a bit higher than the UK Cadbury equivalents but this is understandable as it is being shipped all the way from Australia. It also stocks Darrel Lea chocolate bars, imported from Australia as well. “A very pleasant place to stay in a lovely location. I was looking for a proper holiday location within close driving distance of Tameside and Manchester, Christie's hospital in order to look after an elderly relative. I looked for a proper hotel with a dining room, a bar proper cooked food and somewhere dog friendly. I could not have found anywhere better. My elderly step-mum needed modified meals; small portions and easy-to-swallow foods. The chef and all the staff bent over backwards to make sure she was catered for - room service was no trouble. Only wish I'd had time to enjoy The Stables. I'll definitely be back.”
