“Now this is good customer service. We’ve come here for a bite to eat after lots of walking. I am pregnant currently so There’s lots of cheeses and sauces I wasn’t sure if I was allowed for being pregnant so we asked one of staff members and they went to check for me. After this, the Manager then came over went over the whole menu with us and reassured me. She even went back to check the tubs and to google the brands of stuff they use to make sure it was safe for me to have. Top tier customer service absolutely lovely staff and food. “Great Indian supermarket, fresh herbs, garlic, chilli ( lots of varietys) at about half the normal supermarket price. Lots and lots of dried beans , peas, lentils and other pulses , a very good range of ground spices and curry mixs in different size bags from about 250g upto 1kg A good range of jars of curry sauce / pastes . Huge bags of rice. A good range of oils A limited range of yoghurt, butter, cold drinks . Some kitchen equipment like sives, huge pans, tin openers. But the best thing is the staff , they are friendly and accommodating and can answer all sorts of questions regarding their stock , like how to cook things , what would go best with different sauces , how to prepare / store the fresh herbs and spices.”

“Great amount of stalls,cafes and food places - meat shops always got a big queue, african/Caribbean food stall looked lovely too. Numerous deli type places and butchers. A shop that sells cakes looks lush too. Didn't try any as was too hot and looking for a bottle of water. Lovely staff at the cafe in the middle had them chilled for 80p. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Came to manchester from london and ordered pounded yam and oha soup. As soon as I tasted the soup it felt like been transported back to the village. I could taste the home cooking in every bite. Atmosphere was good. The host was friendly and in my view one of the best African restaurants I have visited.”

“My late father would buy mithai from the original branch next to Euston train station in London in the 1970s and bring it all the way home to Glasgow. When my brother was born in 1978, he had laddoo sent to Glasgow as well, such is the quality of their products. Ambala has a long tradition in this country and as far as me and my family are concerned, serves the best mithai by a country mile. It isn't too sweet and rich like competitors and the quality is consistent across all their branches. Manchester is our hometown now and this branch is our go-to for all things mithai related. Nowhere else comes close!!”

“Lovely pub in Knutsford. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful food. I had sausages and mash with onion rings and it was lush. The sausages nicely spiced, real onions in batter and a fantastic lumpy mash that had real potatoes in it and definitely not from a packet like so many pub mashes. Definitely recommend.”

“Stayed over Thursday night and had a very cosy and hospitable stay. We ate there today and the food was exceptional with great portion sizes. We were very impressed.
