“Fantastic restaurant serving freshly cooked Palestinian food of a high standard and with lovely warm service that is attentive and efficient. We’ve eaten at many Middle Eastern restaurants and this is one the best we’ve been to. The Knafeh is excellent and ends a wonderful meal. We also loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and strawberry, mango and pineapple smoothie! If only they had Palestinian ice cream!”

The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. We tried a few different dishes, and everything was perfect. Hajer and the team were amazing and very accommodating, made the process stress free and everything ran smoothly from decor to food timings and music. Family and friends had nothing but praise. “Thank you for the incredible food and excellent service at Shaam. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. I couldn’t help but notice the same care and attention given to the dishes on other tables as well, all accompanied by a wonderful aroma. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make my birthday special by bringing out a slice of cake with a candle, creating a lovely atmosphere. My only suggestion would be to offer a variety of music, and we did notice a few bothersome flies from time to time.”

“Been here a few times to eat now, the food is amazing everything so full of flavour and taste. The seating area is good, may feel cramped at busy times but the service is still on point and the food is always above standards. Very good decent size portions and the prices are decent also. Mix kebabs are my favourite and the drinks, good selection available and worth the money. Family platter is also very good to have here, nicely presented and plenty of flavour. Definitely recommend eating in here, they do deliveries but best to go in and eat fresh off the grill. Excellent place amazing food, friendly staff.”

The upstairs family or segregated seating area was good and I loved the art tapestry work. Can't beat the traditional middle eastern vibes and the atmosphere. The food to try among many is the Chicken rice pilafa and the soup is also delicious. Great place for family and the price is not only affordable but, also quality for food.”

If you want great food and perfect service, this is where you need to go. Eating here is a wonderful experience from start to finish. ​The main dish, the Qabli Pilau, is the star. The rice is cooked perfectly and smells so good with spices like saffron. The lamb underneath is super soft and falls apart easily—it practically melts in your mouth! The sweet carrots and raisins mixed in taste fantastic and make the dish complete. It's truly delicious and comforting food. ​The grilling here is also top-notch. The Grilled Chicken and all the Kababs are cooked perfectly. They have a great smoky taste and a little crispiness on the outside, but the meat inside is still incredibly juicy and tender. They use great spices, and every bite is full of real, traditional flavor. ​And let's talk about the service—it's honestly the best service I've ever had. The staff are so nice, professional, and genuinely happy to help. Our server knew everything about the menu and was quick and helpful without rushing us or getting in the way. ​Aljazeera gets everything right: amazing, real food and incredible customer care. “We were driving back to Birmingham from the north and decided to stop for something different. We chose this restaurant for its Saudi Arabian food, and it did not disappoint! We ordered kebda, lamb mandi, chicken mandi, and waraq inab. The kebda was honestly the best I’ve ever had in the UK — the sauce was unique and full of flavor. The lamb mandi was delicious, with soft, tender meat and rich taste. We didn’t get a chance to try the chicken because the portions were very generous — each dish was more than enough for one person, and we were already full! Ayoub was kind, professional, and very helpful. He even gave us two extra tiramisu boxes for my girls for free as gift — such a lovely gesture! The restaurant’s design also stood out — it offers full privacy so you can enjoy your food in peace. The Arabic majlis-style seating and traditional decor created a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We will absolutely come back to this restaurant. Total payment: £35 for everything. Hygiene: Excellent!”

We had so much lovely food to eat and despite having to take our own bottle of wine in there, it was only £24 each including tip. Will definitely go again.”

“There are a limited number of parking places available very close to the restaurant on the main road and we were very lucky to get one just outside the fire station. We were welcomed very warmly and the waitress immediately offered to open the wine we had brought as you can bring your own wine with no corkage charge! We were also offered a jug of tap water which came with ice and lemon. For starters we had the Pasha baba Ghanouj, Chicken Bourak and Kibbeh Makli and all of them were excellent with the baba Ghanouj being one of the best we'd had - even better than in Istanbul. For mains I had the mixed kebab, which was one skewer of lamb cubes, one of chicken cubes and one of minced lamb. All of the meat was lovely and tender with a lovely hint of spice and I would say they were all cooked perfectly. The sauces accompanying them was also great. We also had some rice with vermicelli and a portion of tabouleh which was delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful and my only slight gripe was that the tables are rather close together and it would be rather difficult to have a cosy, intimate dinner here. However, the food was excellent and I love being able to take my own wine as I know it will be good and I wont be paying way over the odds for it. Pity its not nearer home!”
