“I just had to write a quick review for this place. Manchester based but well worth the travel. This was my first experience of Libyan foood and if this is anything to go by, I’m moving to Libya. Lamb soup, mini shwarma, Shakshuka, these amazing keema filled potatoes. It was all great. Spicier than I expected and reasonably priced. £11.50 for everything in the pics. It’s near whimmy road - so if you are in that part of town, give them a try. Zoroona”

“Where do I start…. Firstly, I have just left this establishment. I wasn’t disappointed. Flynn was my server. As an avid tapas lover who has visited many other businesses , I can confidently say that I have never had a server as kind and helpful, he really made the experience worth it . he was great. The food was amazing - 5 stars and 10/10 .”

“We went on Saturday night to try the dinner menu and ordered a set of small plates. They were all excellent. I don’t even know which one was my favourite! But the tuna tartar, pea risotto, tempura, and the lemon sole were absolutely amazing. Do not miss the orange flavoured white wine from Mendoza Argentina. It significantly enhanced our experiences, highly recommended! The service was attentive, knowledgeable abs kind. The atmosphere also provided a relax and mellow environment. The music played was also the right volume (hate it when some places are so loud you just want to leave!) We will definitely be back very soon.”

“Al tayyba had very good food, good portion of both dishes which were Qabily palau and kofta kebab on rice. The price was good as well compared to the quantity of food we were given. Ambiance of restaurant was also excellent.”

The food is always fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented, truly authentic Turkish cuisine done to perfection. As someone with celiac disease, finding a restaurant that can cater safely and confidently to my dietary needs is rare, but the team here went above and beyond. They were knowledgeable, careful, and made me feel completely at ease. I left with a full and very happy tummy, which says it all! The service is consistently 10 out of 10 warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The fact that the restaurant is also kid-friendly made our experience even better, allowing the whole family to relax and enjoy together. “Stepping into Turquoise in Cheadle is like being warmly hugged by a restaurant that knows its own character inside out. The décor isn’t trying to impress with chandeliers or glitter thankfully but instead wraps you in warmth with local artwork on the walls that feels like it’s been chosen by someone who actually likes art not someone who just Googled “restaurant paintings.” It’s inviting homely and gives you the sense that whether you’re bringing the family for a big feast or sneaking in for a romantic dinner for two you’re in the right place. Now the food. This is where Turquoise flexes its muscles. Take the full English. It’s not a plate of sadness and regret it’s a proper spread. The sausages aren’t your usual limp Richmonds. No these beauties taste like they’ve just been pinched from a farmer who still sings to his livestock. I don’t even like sausages usually but these have that magic balance meaty juicy and full of intent. And if you fancy they’ll happily swap one out for a Turkish sausage which adds a little drama to the plate like inviting a flamenco dancer to your breakfast table. Their Mediterranean and Turkish dishes carry the same ethos generous but never sloppy bold but never brash. You can tell nothing’s rushed here. It all tastes fresh like someone actually cared as they stirred the pot. The staff are relaxed happy and with that ease that says “We’d rather be here than anywhere else.” They don’t hover like suspicious pigeons nor do they vanish when you need them they’re just right. And the value. Well it’s excellent. Other places might leave you nursing the sting of buyer’s remorse but here you walk away content your wallet intact and your taste buds gently applauding. Turquoise doesn’t just feed you it reminds you that food cooked with love and pride makes everything better. And if you’re lucky the sausages might even wink at you on the way out”

“I've had decent nihari a few times in UK, this was highly recommended by my son in law, I was not disappointed, I also ordered naan and a portion of seekh kabab. 1. Every item was outstanding including chutney. At other places, I usually don't like their naan, other places seekh kabab ate extremely dry, I hate chutneys everywhere, they usually go in the bin. This food was OUTSTANDING, 5*****, 2, Service, OUTSTANDING, I'm disabled and did not have my wheelchair in the car, the gentleman brought out the food for me. 3. Price, OUTSTANDING. All the food that I ordered, cost only £25. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED restaurant. 5*****”

“Hidden gem! We had the Lamb Maqluba, Musakhan Chicken, Batata Harra and Zatar Sweet Tato's - was hoping to try the kunafa but we were far too full. The starters were the highlight for me and to be honest, very generous portions ! Great service and looking forward to returning again!”

“Excellent food and great atmosphere. The poppadom sauces are some of the best I have had. We had Chicken Momocha for a starter (shared) which says it's a 20 mins wait. It is worth it. They are these beautiful curried dumplings which is such an interesting combination. For mains we both picked off the specials menu and were not disappointed. Overall good value for money, excellent ambiance, and helpful wait stuff”

“Outstanding! Freshly prepared, authentic, wonderfully tasty food - restaurant-quality dishes, amazing flavours... It took us a while to try Armenian Grill House as, compared to take away pizza or chicken, the prices appear a bit high. But I really wish we'd given them a try earlier, because their fabulous food is worth every penny. Highly recommended!! They will be out go-to take-out from now on!”

“You’re going to read this review and think they’re paying me (they’re not!) because I only have good things to say :-) We’ve been getting takeaway from here for years and I thought it was about time I did a review, as it’s never been less than excellent in service, food and price. The food is really great, with loads of choice, and has always tasted delicious- we must have had the whole menu over the years and haven’t got a bad word to say. We usually order a bit extra so I can have it again the next day, which I love, and look forward to from breakfast…! There’s enough choice in flavour on the menu for everyone, plus some dishes you don’t normally see on a takeaway menu and they have loads of veggie options. I totally recommend this place :-)”
