“Went for Sunday lunch here recently and I have to say the place looks amazing, the staff were lovely and the food was wonderful. My friend and I have been qualified chefs for many years and could not fault anything about our experience. The food was piping hot and the taste was superb. What we did like was the Manager asked us when paying the bill, could they do anything. Nice little touch.”

“Went for a breakfast with the grandchildren, was very happy with the food, toast done to perfection, bacon had a chargrilled taste which I loved. The only let down was I like really runny eggs for my toast and beans. But not a dealbraker. The open fire was a bonus along with quite good coffee, being a breakfast coffee, it didn't give you that kick to wake your brain up, more like a brunch coffee.”

“Stayed over Thursday night and had a very cosy and hospitable stay. We ate there today and the food was exceptional with great portion sizes. We were very impressed. Helen and Hattie served us and we couldn't have asked for more, it was a warm welcome and top service from both. Couldn't recommend it enough. Will be back in the future.”

“I recently ate here for a family dinner. Lovely place and plenty of parking. Was welcomed by Lou, who walked us to our table and explained where to order. The kitchen manager Mitch gave us recommendations (which I tried). I would definitely come back again, the staff were brilliant, the food was great and the pub/restaurant were lovely”

“After following how this place went above and beyond to survive since Covid, it was great to finally be there in person... The welcome is so warm, Mediterranean and done exactly beautifully right! The food - pictures speaks for themselves! The starter and dessert sharing boards are phenomenal. Fill of varieties and flavours. The pasta dishes were delicious and delivered a great intense flavour. Though, nothing beats the sharing of boards. The service was super attentive, friendly and welcoming. We loved it! Highly recommend this place !”

“Went for Saturday breakfast, the value for money is incredible. 3 breakfasts including unlimited coffee only a tad over £18. However eggs Benedict were cold on arrival. But my traditional breakfast was spot on as was the freedom Breakfast. Was a hot day and I am assuming the air con broke down because my god it was warm in there. But the Erdinger was nice and cold. Some other interesting canned craft beers were consumed. I think the glass washer needs a service. And much amusement had watching the police attempt to apprehend a man with one foot in a cast. Ordering on the app is supposed to alleviate pressure on the bar and make it convenient and speedy for us as a customer,however one round took 10 minutes to arrive. Minor gripe. I love Spoons. We wiled away a few hours and will definitely be back.”

“Used to be my local many years ago. The landlord murdered his wife in the cellar and carried on serving until closing time. The pub got raided a few weeks later for after hours drinking. The place was full of police investigating the murder. Top pub. Good cheap beer - Joe Holts”

“I was staying in the hotel for my 30th birthday and booked dinner for after the spa. The staff were so friendly and the food didn’t disappoint! We had the Lobster Mac and cheese, cheese Soufflee, ragu pasta and beef burger. All delicious. The new manager went the extra mile for my birthday, making us feel so special and welcome. I will certainly be back and thanks again to the wonderful team for an amazing night :)”

“Great selection of real ales at excellent prices. ( Most important!) App ordering works really well here. Delivery to the table was quick and everything was correct with polite and courteous service from the barman. Previously we ate here and again the food was very well priced, served quickly from the app and served efficiently and by friendly courteous staff. Visited numerous times now when we have visited Manchester and it's always been great. Never too busy and we have always managed to get a table. We will be visiting again.”

“Just back from a lovely themed night at Aspire Restaurant at Traffordd College - fabulous value and great food. Really good prices for quality drinks too. We had a 3 course meal with additional appetisers on arrival and coffee with a sweet treat at the end and 2 alcoholic drinks each including their fabulous award winning Rhubard Gin Cocktail (delicious) All in it came to £50.20 for the 2 of us plus of course we left service on top of that. So pleased to have revisited and looking forward to more meals there going forwards. Well done Aspire!”
