“The best fish ’n’ chips in the area. PERIOD. Anybody saying the Kingfisher on Parrin Lane is better — and the other comments — listen up. Yes, they are super friendly at the Kingfisher. They also close at 8:30, not the 9 p.m. this one does. And you can’t complain that this no longer takes card payments because neither does the Kingfisher, but this at least allows bank transfer — so basically it takes card payments. Also, saying it’s expensive? Last night I got a LARGE FISH & CHIPS with a pot of GRAVY and a pot of MUSHY-PEAS (both of which are far superior to Kingfisher’s) for £11.20. I think that’s very fair. I’m posting the pics here so you can see how amazing they are — and that’s after going to Lidl and walking 10 minutes home. Hot, delicious, and not greasy. 10/10. Give them a try at least once so you KNOW for yourself. :)”

“Went for a breakfast with the grandchildren, was very happy with the food, toast done to perfection, bacon had a chargrilled taste which I loved. The only let down was I like really runny eggs for my toast and beans. But not a dealbraker. The open fire was a bonus along with quite good coffee, being a breakfast coffee, it didn't give you that kick to wake your brain up, more like a brunch coffee.”

Really busy but the staff were excellent so no problem getting served. Although there was a choice of bitters it's a shame that there was no cask ale. We only had chip butties but they were really good, we even got some salad & cakes thrown in and the napkins were super cute! Lisa was super helpful when trying to organise.
