Refreshing drinks menu in Manchester

“Was recommended this place by a work colleague and a group of 9 of us went. Parking can is available outside with plenty on side streets. Nice friendly vibes and smells emanating inside were delightful. We decided to book a room (can seat around 12 people I reckon and maybe more) and only negative criticism was that we did have to ask on several occasions for place to be cleaned up. This place can get busy. Complimentary soap was the perfect start and a nice touch. Ordered the lamb Zumbina and it was delightful. The meat was succulent and the flavours really lovely. The food arrived very quick and even partook in the chicken brost which I highly recommend. Only item I didn’t enjoy was the fasha and it’s a very distinguished taste. Not for me anyway. Card payments accepted and friendly service. Toilet (only 1) which has a bidet and was clean. Could do with another ideally and washroom facilities also available. A place I enjoyed visiting and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending and returning.”

“Not from the area and looking for somewhere for a bite to eat and to watch the football. Very happy to have found the Firbank. Great service from the friendly staff, food was spot on (Hot and Spicy Chicken Burger). Would definitely recommend.”

“Got there at lunchtime and it was lovely and quiet. I went for the standard carvery and the other half had the chicken burger. The carvery was lovely and fresh with good sizes of meat. The chicken burger was good, apparently, but the coleslaw let it down. All in all a good quick stop off for a lunch that was hot and a good size. The cake slices were huge!”

“We absolutely love The Cafe and we do probably order at least once a week. We do get breakfast and lunch! The food is always absolutely delicious and great portion sizes too! I love the little touches too, such as the odd extra crusty bread with our salad or sometimes a slice of cake with a little note and a smile! Great service, great food! Love it! Just sometimes they are so busy delivery is turned off but that just goes to show how popular they are! Definitely recommend!”

“Located on Elk Mill retail park relatively new building. Nice, bright and pleasant always clean and tidy. Normally quick service. Baristas very fast and friendly. All on one level with easy access for disabled/wheelchair users. Children's play area outside. Large free car park.”

“I see quite a few people have negative 1* reviews but my takeaway experience was outstanding!! The food was out of this world literally, the pounded yam nice and soft, Banga Soup was just mouthwatering, every bite just made me want more! And the Taba (don't get me started) I used to have Taba as a kid and throughout my years never found a place that made Taba the way this one place made it when I was young... Tried this place for my birthday and the Taba was spot on like they were the ones that made it when I was little... 100/10 - seriously.”

“The usual.. great coffee and friendly emplyees. I am a fan to both Costa and Nero. The coffee is not bitter as starbucks. This tome I was lost in Manchester when leaving Trafford Center. Found this branch of costa in Eccles, had cakes and coffee, with our 4 pows friend (dog)”

“Expensive but came here as had a nice atmosphere and wasn’t too busy. Plenty of choices on the menu and free water station. No complaints and would return for sure.”

“I came here last week with my family of 8! The atmosphere was booming, they had a live singer and the food was fabulous! Best curry i’ve tried!! The staff were so polite and the drinks were great. Also the parking is free if your a customer which is great and all i had to do was go to the bar and ask for a code!!”

“I only popped in for a brew whilst I was waiting for my tyres to be done at Halfords. It's was quite, allowed me to get a bit of work done and had a brew. The lady that was there was lovely, really welcoming and checked I was ok frequently, which was sweet.”

“A fabulous pub. Despite being hemmed in by the continuing high rise building that the dreadful council allow to make this once fine city as ugly as possible, this gem retains its character. It was around during the Peterloo Massacre and injured were brought there for treatment. It serves some fine real ales, has an extensive beers garden, comfortable interior and a room with some excellent United photos and memorabilia. Well worth a visit.”

“Very impressed. Visited on a Sunday and took advantage of the 'Sunday Offer' menu which is £15.95 for two courses. Considering the size and quality of the meals this really is fantastic value. All food was excellent. Special mention to the girls waiting on, who were friendly and efficient. Will definitely return.”
