“Really impressed with Cornerstones Guest House. Ahmed was excellent in communicating the keylock code and instructions. We were able to park the car and walk 15 mins to Sale Metrolink tram stop in Sale. The room was perfect for us (dad and lad) with a double and a single bed. A nice window for fresh air and the shower was hot. We stayed Saturday and went to Old Trafford for the Manchester United match on the Sunday. Would recommend.”

“From the moment I stepped in, this place just felt welcoming. An actual key for the room gave it a charming, personal touch you don’t often see anymore. Free parking, free WiFi, and a bed so comfortable I nearly missed checkout – all at a price that’s hard to beat. The building may be older, but it’s clearly loved and cared for, and it shows. A special mention to Carla, who I spoke to in the morning – she was outstanding. Passionate about the local area and genuinely invested in guests having a great time, she’s a real asset to the business. If she worked at my company, it would be a better place. Any future visits to Manchester – this will be my go-to hotel.”

“I enjoyed my stay here! The owner was a delight. She helped me with my bags as I was struggling a bit with my 2 children and I had an early check in. The rooms are better suited for a couple or days single person. Not necessarily ideal for a family as spaces are bit small ( in the rooms I stayed, not sure about the others, please ask about bigger rooms for family if you intend to stay here, they might accommodate for bigger families as there are quite a few rooms).”

“I have rented for many years and always found it difficult to work with letting agents as they always seem to just want to let the property and then disappear. UK Rooms were a real breath of fresh air. Very knowledgeable team and made sure all my requests were considered so I had a nice home to move into. They are also prompt at dealing with my my maintenance requests and sent proper tradespeople rather than basic handymen. I couldn't have asked for more.”

“Our families have used The Hinton Guest House a few times for their stays when visiting us in the area, and it has always been a fantastic choice. Most recently, my parents stayed for 7 nights in December 2024, and once again, the experience was excellent. Ann has consistently been extremely helpful and responsive, making the booking process straightforward and stress-free. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality truly set this guest house apart. The guest house is in a central position in Mobberley village, making it incredibly convenient. It’s just a couple of minutes’ walk to the Coop mini market, the local pharmacy, and a bus station with routes to Knutsford, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, and Altrincham. Additionally, it’s approximately a 10-minute walk to the local pubs, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The rooms and premises are always spotless, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. The breakfast service is a highlight—the food is cooked to perfection, and the service is attentive and friendly. We’re so fortunate to have such a reliable and high-quality accommodation nearby. “I phoned to ask if they had any kittens, they were kind enough to keep my number and let me know. The lady who helped us was patient, showed us how to care for them and even wsited behind after their opening times so I could go buy some carry cases. “Stayed at the Sycamore Inn a few years ago. We were visiting from the United States and had put together a family reunion with 25 members of my British family. Sammy and her staff were fantastic! Food and service outstanding! Rooms are very nice. On a drive by last year we popped in to say hello and Sammy remembered us. We were going to visit again in a few weeks and found out the heartbreaking news regarding the upcoming closure. I cannot thank Sammy and her team enough, you definitely will be missed. “I ordered a wall clock airplane Clock for my wife. It was on offer and we had seen similar at other vendors for quite a lot more so we were pleased with the price but worried about buying online. We needn't have worried olive and Sage communicated very well their intentions to deliver and delivered before I expected, communicating all the time. Great product, great service, and very happy.”

“This venue is absolutely incredible. I’ve now been to two weddings here and thoroughly enjoyed both. It’s a proper hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Saddleworth, you honestly wouldn’t expect it to be quite so impressive from the outside. Inside, the décor is tasteful, elegant, and beautifully thought out. There’s a stunning balcony that overlooks the main dining area, and the outdoor space is massive, perfect for weddings and, I imagine, other events too. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner. I ordered some drinks I wasn’t supposed to, but he handled it really politely and respectfully. It's easy as a business owner to become jaded and not speak to people as individuals or talk down to them, but he's obviously a good dude and gives people the benefit of the doubt.”

“I dined here for a special meal and it was fantastic. The building is cosy and very traditional decor making it feel very British and quiet luxury. The service was very quick and the food came out at reasonable intervals with no drawn out waiting. I had the steak and ale pie and chocolate fudge cake and wow it was wonderful. The pie filling was tender meat and lots of flavour and the pastry was lovely too. The mash and gravy and veg was perfect and had lots of flavour. The cake was like a better version of a school pudding and felt nostalgic. I was so happy overall it really is a little gem this place to eat. The atmosphere was quiet and warm and the outdoor area was filled with people enjoying drinks peacefully. Great car park too and away from main roads. Just overall fantastic and I can’t wait to return. The pie and cake was so good I feel I won’t end up trying other items because I quite literally could eat that every day!”

“We stayed in room 214, room was clean a bit on the small side,bedding and towels were clean, bed was firm and the pillows were very firm,not much of a view, we had 4 pidgeons keep in us company outside the window,we didn’t get a good nights sleep because the thermostat which was next to the bed kept clicking all night, quite loudly so we didn’t get much sleep. The soap hadn’t been re filled in the shower, we asked at reception and it was filled, staff very pleasant but overall well worth the money”

“I booked this hotel on behalf of my family members visiting my wife and I from Ireland. They stayed two nights and were pleased with everything the hotel provided them. The room was very clean with comfortable beds for two ladies and one child.”
