“First time customer. Went to the shop to order as it's close to home. It was busy (Sunday 6.30ish) always a good sign. Chose the Cocktail Masala, with Garlic Nan, Onion Bhajis, Poppadoms and usual accompaniments. The guy apologised for the wait which was only about 15mins or so which was less than I expected but they have that many Chefs it shouldn't have surprised me. It's an open kitchen, very clean, and reasonable prices. Will def be going back and definitely recommend.”

“If I could give this place 10* I would! Me and my partner went to Gio for a meal whilst staying in Manchester and it surpassed all expectations. We were waited on by the nicest of staff, the wine was gorgeous and the food was incredible! I will be dining here every time we visit Manchester. The lobster ravioli and clams were phenomenal and the tiramisu was out of this world! I hadn't dressed up as we'd been to the game and was wandering around for the evening but we were treated just as well as the finely dressed diners.”

“Been coming in the George for few weeks now after not being here for couple of years. Food menu has changed and is really good. Two meals for £12 on certain days. Can not complain one bit. Bar staff actually have a smile on their faces and make you feel welcome. Quiz nights music pool table live football all a bonus. Dog friendly”

“We had a great stay, the room was great but they are very warm. Great location for Aviva studios, just a short walk away. There is a small car park which we had no issue parking in during the week. Its 15 pound for 24 hours paid via Ringo. I left my kindle there and after some back and forward, I did eventually receive it in the post.”

“Fantastic serloin steak for a work meeting out. Cooked perfectly with a nice intense charcoal flavour. The grilled halloumi with pesto was very nice touch, delicious. Very polite and attentive service in a comfortable environment. If I had to fault something my only grumble would be the long Island ice tea had too much lime which made the coke fizz flat and drink sharp (I am highly critical of cocktails)”

“Fantastic hotel. As a corporate, I've stayed in many hotels and I can honestly say that the village cheadle is the best in terms of service, attentiveness / friendliness of staff, food quality is top quality, gym and spa facilities excellent. Im a member of David Lloyd and I can tell you the quality of the gym and spa at the village cheadle is on a par to DL at a fraction of the price. Village cheadle is 3* hotel but in my opinion it far surpasses the other 4* hotels in the vicinity”

“Amazing food and a relaxed atmosphere. Food is good quality and reasonably priced around £15-25 per person. The loona rice was my absolute favourite... highly recommend it. I have been with my family and then again with my friends for a chilled evening. The owner was lovely and attentive and ensured we were were well looked after. Great authentic lebanese restaurant.”

“I ordered the Lamb Shank Curry, Grilled King Prawns, and a Plain Naan with sesame seeds. The lamb shank was outstanding, tender, and fell straight off the bone. The naan arrived hot and the chef was kind enough to add seeds on request. The prawns were full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The food carried deep spice, great texture, and rich aroma. The ambience was warm and stylish. The staff were exceptionally friendly and worked hard to keep the Christmas cheer going throughout the morning, ensuring that everyone was enjoying themselves. “We had a wonderful lunch. The service was spot on. Not rushed, relaxed, but professional. The atmosphere is lovely, and we love the location, overlooking exchange square, it feels so light and bright. We mostly had pasta, and one risotto, and all the food was excellent. Overall, a really great experience, and I would recommend this restaurant to pretty much anyone.”

“We stayed in a family room on the top floor. The room was clean & spacious & good amenities. It is an old building, not fancy & steep staircases but if you are ok with this then it's a great place to stay. All the staff in the hotel & down in the pub are brilliant, very welcoming & accommodating & they obviously get on well. Our breakfast was included as we booked direct & we got 20% off food & drinks at other times. The food was very nice & large portions. Excellent location especially if you're at an event at the AO Arena.”
