“The room was clean and nice. The staff nice. Only stayed 1 night for business and it was ideal for that. Breakfast was nice. Unfortunately the Hunters Chicken that I ordered from the restaurant was so tough that a had to eat everything around it before I chiseled into it to avoid sending everything flying. Apart from that it was good. March 2023 update: I stayed for two nights this time on the 13/14, again for business. This time I made use of the swimming pool and the fitness suite on site. I also managed to try the sauna, the first time ever! I managed the whole 15 min on the timer. The food this time was really nice. I had a burger and steak (separate eve's). The team was very friendly and nice and the breakfast was excellent. I have notched up to 5 stars for this recent visit.”

“Great relaxed night with live music. Food was available. The setting is a traditional pub with garden. The atmosphere is relaxed, drinks and food were very reasonably priced ..the music was exceptional.. I can't wait to revisit this place”

“We found YaySushi after extensive research on the internet and they did not disappoint us for our pre-christmas family gathering, it was a brilliant experience. Anna was so responsive all the time and the little pandas went down a treat with the big kids and the little ones. We ordered 200 pcs it was fresh wonderful variety and very delicious. We have already recommended them to our friends, and would suggest you try yourself. Very impressed.”

“This store has a wide and varied selection of whiskies (my personal favourite) and other drinks. The staff are excellent and knowledgeable too. You may find the odd whisky slightly cheaper at a supermarket, but those places cannot match the range J Wadsworth has. Highly recommended!”

“Popped in for lunch and had a lovely meal. Highly recommend the mushrooms on toast, and the chips were smashing. Slight problem with the battered fish, but the staff were very apologetic, and happy to put things right :) nice touch that the chef also came out to check in with us. P.S. They're dog friendly in the bar!”

“Heard about 5 Akhis (which means “five brothers”) and made the trip up from London to check it out… And honestly, it was worth it. The burgers are seriously scrumptious! We tried a mix: the Classic, the OG Classic, and the chicken burger called the Blazing Bird. Every one hit the spot. The loaded fries are another level… We went for the Chicken Strips Remix, which comes stacked with fries, cheese sauce and ranch sauce.. Proper comfort food! Prices are decent too: around £13–16 for a burger meal, and £7.99 for loaded fries that are big enough to share. The place itself is pretty small, only seats about 8–10 people max, so it’s worth ordering ahead because it does get busy. Service was really friendly, and you can tell they care about what they’re serving. I’ll definitely be going back! Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a proper good burger”

“I have had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant with my son and kids and it was really nice, the food itself is great my son loved his pizza and so did I. The staff are lovely and very hospitable, the price is also not bad at all. I definitely recommend it. “Staying locally for a few days and came to this delightful cosy restaurant. We love Thai food but are always nervous about coming somewhere new. However, this place did not disappoint. Charming service at just the right pace. Spoke to a local who comes regularly and said they've never had a bad meal there. I had the Penang vegetable curry and coconut icecream, my husband had duck green curry and banana fritters both were delicious. We parked in the free car park nearby as the parking ourside the restaurant is limited. It gets fully booked at weekends so I advise you to book early. We definitely back next time we're in the area.”

“I stayed here with work and could not have been happier. The room was large, very clean, and perfect for the evening and an online meeting the following morning. Breakfast was fantastic with several continental self-service and a good range of freshly cooked options too. The English breakfast was lovely with local bacon and sausage and the portion size was just right. The bar staff were brilliant, allowing smooth check-in and finding me a table for dinner even though they were really busy. There is a relaxed but professional approach by all staff. If you need accommodation or just fancy a delicious evening meal, I can highly recommend The Coach House.”
