“Hackleton is a friendly little village with a fab pub in the middle of it. Large menu. Caters for all. The staff are very attentive. We’ve ate there for lunch and also we have recently tried the roast dinner. £15. The food was delicious and of good quality. “Spot on! Worth the drive on a cold wet evening. There were four of us, booked of an early dinner that really did not disappoint. The service was very good and the food (main issue) was superb. Wexford mushrooms, croquettes and black pudding for starters; duck, beef shin ragu (unctuous) and parmigiana that was to die for. Definitely a big cut above the usual pub grub and the "gastropub" offerings. One to return to and we will. Thanks”

“A little gem. We were meeting up as a family and this pub was half way. Not only was a pint on offer at £2.50 (May 2025) but the food was via an attached Indian restaurant. The food was excellent as was the pint. Don't be put off by the sky sports signs it was a nice village pub”

“I can count how many times with my fingers I have been to a Turkish restaurant. This restaurant is round the corner from the main market square and Waitrose, which are the main landmarks to me who is not familiar with St Neots. However, the quality of the food and service exceeded my expectation when comparing those Turkish restaurants which I have been to in London and Istanbul respectively. We went for the lunch menu (on a Saturday) - £13.99 for a two-course meal. I had battered calamari rings for starter. They turned out to be very crispy outside while moist and soft inside. Then I had chicken shish. The chicken cubes were so moist and tasty. I also ordered a 500ml bottle of Turkish beer to share with my friend. The restaurant's owner kindly gave us some bulgur to try. The restaurant was super clean as it had been renovated not long ago. I ended the meal with a well-presented slice of Banoffee pie. Will definitely go back to try other dishes on the lunch menu.”
