“Attentive staff, food was good, atmosphere was great too - I cant wait for them to have live entertainment as I'd return to enjoy that. Staff were knowledgable about the menu. The flavour if the 1/2 chicken was lovely. The coleslaw felt expensive for a small portion (half a cup) that didnt really offer much more (flavour and quality) than a standard/homemade coleslaw. Otherwise, food was perfect. Covid measures - everything was regularly cleaned, there were perspex divides between us and the next table plus outside seating available. Face masks worn by all staff and customers when moving around.”

“We have a new favourite! Last night was our first meal from here because our long-standing regular is closed on a Monday, and I'm so glad we took a chance. So many Chinese takeaways are bland, or monotone in the flavours, but not here. My house special curry was bursting with flavour and a welcome, but not overpowering, spicy kick. My wife said her beef chow mein, shredded beef and sweet and sour chicken were incredibly tasty, again with a welcome variety of flavour, and a lovely sour edge to the sweet and sour, rather than just sickly sweet. Added to that, the portions were very generous (I got two helpings from mine, which is unusual), and it wasn't just bulked out - there was plenty of meat. The final unexpected bonus was not only free prawn crackers, but also free spring rolls - again, more than what we usually get. Overall we were both blown away, and both agreed that we will be using Welcome Precious as our new regular from now on. Well done!”

On Friday 25th September I needed an urgent prescription for dressings for a leg ulcer, unfortunately my surgery had not forwarded the correct prescription to the chemist. I explained my problem to Tina, one of the staff, and also the the young man who was working preparing the prescriptions. They immediately came up with an alternative dressing which was perfect. I was quite stressed about this and also concerned but their actions solved the problem and left me with a stress free weekend. The food is affordable and for what you pay you get more than what other restaurants give and the times of pickup is fast once had a beautiful takeaway in under 15 minutes of waiting! And the food was what you want from a Chinese and the best part is you don't have to lose an arm or a leg to fill a table and I guarantee quality. I can't give any complaints and the ones I see are give negative reviews from people who don't have the stomach for spice or Chinese food as I guarantee the food is always quality and even if you want to pay by card, it's best for them that you pay by cash and people need to accept that”
