We was able to discuss exactly what we was looking for our wedding day and Tracey was able to guide us and give us options to make it possible. I was able to pick the phone to the venue and have all my questions answered and mind put at ease leading up to the big day. “I came here for a conference and the facilities are absolutely amazing. The little "cafe" is a brilliant idea, stocking sandwiches, wraps, pastries, cakes and other snacks so that we never went hungry. A wide range of drinks available, coffees, teas, flavoured waters both still and sparkling. This is all free for attendants, so anyone attending your events here is going to walk away very happy. We were also happily surprised with the three course dinner, while served similar to a school meal the food itself was of reasonable quality. I skipped the soup starter to have a Steak & Ale Pie with Chips and a Raspberry & White Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert. Both were similar to pub quality, rather than a restaurant, but there were certainly no complaints from anyone on our table.”

“Enjoyed my short stay very much at the Poplars. Very quaint character property that retains much of its charm. Upper rooms would be tricky for anyone with limited mobility or lots of large luggage. Cooked breakfast was excellent, plenty of everything available. Room nice & clean and bed comfortable. Shower rather small so again tricky for anyone with limited mobility so would be good to check which room you are booking if that is your circumstance. They do have accesible rooms on the ground floor.”

“Fantastic for a family day out! Want to try paddle boarding, wakeboarding or water skiing, or try your ninja skills on the inflatable obstacle? Maybe watersports aren't your thing, how about Disc Golf, Foot Golf or archery? Bit far to travel? Camp! My only issue is food is a tad pricey for what you get at the lakeside hut, £5 for a processed boiled hotdog with no option for onions or anything is a tad steep, I'd expect a proper sausage for that price, but it is what it is! Still a great destination, and there's some baby ducks this time of year too!”

“Amazing food! I ordered a mixed grill and chicken tikka with pilau rice. I asked what was in the mixed grill and was told they have sheesh. I informed the person on the phone I wasn’t a fan of sheesh so they offered and gave me extra chicken instead of the sheesh. How kind I really appreciate it. The best mixed grill I’ve had. Absolutely amazing and I’ll definitely be ordering from them again! They also delivered very quickly and food was a 10/10. Thank you and we’ll be back.”

“Had dinner in Buffalo mid-week. We didn’t have a reservation. We got a table straight away. The restaurant was busy. Our server, Shah was very helpful and explore menu and suggested some dishes to meet our requirements. The menu had a great selection of dishes. We especially enjoyed the spinach and feta in filo pastry and the prawns. For the main the braised lamb shank and the moussaka were enjoyed. Mehmet was very helpful and checked in with us throughout the meal to ensure we were enjoying our meal. This is an excellent restaurant with good value for money and friendly staff. “This was my very first visit to Chez Jerome, I visited with a friend and we were made very welcome. We sat at table no 1 in the window, which looked very Christmasy. We had a extensive menu to choose from. We both chose the festive 3 course menu. I had smoked kipper for starter, my friend chose melon and prawn cocktail. Both were absolutely delicious. We were also served fresh baked small baguette type slices So tasty we finished the lot off! For our mains I chose salmon with seasonal vegetables, my friend chose duck also with seasonal vegetables. The size of the meal was deceiving, there was plenty and we both struggled to get through it, again both were cooked to perfection. Dessert was an amaretto espresso coffee dessert followed by a lovely liquor coffee,I had TIA Maria and my friends had baileys. We also had a glass of water and I had a glass of rosé wine and my friend had a soft drink. The price of the whole meal was very reasonable for what we had. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. My experience here for the first time was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and we were made very welcomed. Thank you to the chef and owners of Chez Jerome and waitress for a great experience.”

“We went to the Rose and Crown at Hartwell this past Friday... we've been meaning to visit here for a while. So glad we did and sorry we have not been sooner! The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. They have a great team who are really friendly, helpful and customer focused. The menu was varied and caters for all tastes. I chose the brie and mushroom crostini as a starter - it was superb! The mains were great - I opted for fish and chips and it didn't disappoint. My wife had one of the specials... the honey chilli salmon and rice with pak choi. Again, delicious! We finished off with the amazing cheese platter - it had us beat! A really generous sharer with enough for a to-go box! All round, really excellent value for a delicious meal out. This little gem is just 2 miles from Hanslope. Give it a go and support our local businesses 100% recommended!”
