“This was our first experience at Cromwell Cottage. We enjoyed everything about our time here. Our food was cooked perfectly for us - hot, fresh & the steaks to our preference. Staff were attentive, professional, friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Atmosphere was relaxed & happy. Myself & my husband were able to have a conversation without having to shout across the table to each other. We will definitely visit again in the future.”

“6 of us took up 3 rooms and all agreed. Warm, clean and comfortable rooms, and presented to a good standard. Exceptionally helpful and friendly service from staff (especially Billy) and great breakfasts. We had various allergins in our group but all were handled well (Billy pinching his wife's glueten free sausages, buying GF bread and supplying Gorilla tape and glue; not that we ate the last two)Made a refreshing stay away. Any problems were quickly resolved. Thanks, great stay and much appreciated”

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the atmosphere even better. The pub itself is cozy, clean, and a great place to relax. “DRINK is a fantastic craft beer shop with six taps and plenty of choice available. Adam and Sarah are always welcoming and wonderfully knowledgable. They are dog/bike/runner friendly too and will always find room to get you in. A real asset to the town that I cannot recommend enough!”

“We hosted our daughter's naming day event here in August 2024 and had a brilliant experience from start to finish. Charlotte and the team were brilliant with communicating in the lead up to the event and made sure everything was set up perfectly for us on the day - not easy with so many babies and children attending! We had about 40 guests and the venue kindly provided high chairs as well and made space for a nappy change facility in the ladies loos. The buffet lunch was delicious and the team set up bespoke welcome mocktails for us. The table tennis and different seating areas were a big hit with attendees of all ages too! This place is an absolute gem - we had a great family celebration here and would highly recommend Club124 as a perfect venue for a special celebration!”

“Great selection of craft beers, ciders and gins. (Wine& fizz are available but limited.) Very friendly atmosphere welcoming to all. Food is just bar snacks in packets - this is a bar and bottle shop, not a restaurant.”

Slight problem with the battered fish, but the staff were very apologetic, and happy to put things right :) nice touch that the chef also came out to check in with us. P.S. They're dog friendly in the bar!”
