“West and Hunter barbers on Chiswick High Road is the best men’s barber in Chiswick by far! I’ve lived in the area for 15 years and tried the others and won’t use anyone else. The salon itself is more like a West End members club with sofas and a bar (they even sell cigars!) and I’m always welcomed by name offered a drink when I arrive which is very welcoming and a lovely touch. The barbers are all excellent and understand what will work for me, which is really useful as I like to have styles recommended. On occasion I have had a facial too, which is a real treat as they are very good at them and leave me feeling a decade younger! My only sadness is that I can’t grow a beard to have them tend to it but I see their other customers having theirs done and they always look great. West and Hunter have turned a chore into a pleasure for me and I look forward to my next visit. If you’ve read this far you should try them yourselves, you won’t be disappointed. I have just seen all the awards they’ve been winning, well deserved!”

“My experience was online and I visited their website yesterday evening to purchase a bottle as a gift. Placing an order was very easy to do and it was great to see that there was a local delivery option available too which I took advantage of. Received a phone call this morning confirming my order and to arrange delivery for a time which was suitable to me. I opted anytime today and loved the fact it got delivered within the hour. Absolutely great service from Jonathan who promptly delivered my wine to the doorstep with a smile. Will definitely return and consider Banstead Vintners as my first port of call for wine purchases in the future. Prices were competitive for the wine I was after, so I'm really pleased with the experience overall.”

Their recommendation of Puligny-Montrachet, Jacques Carillon 2020 hit the nail on the head when I was describing my love for Burgundy whites. “I had my eye on visiting this place for a while as it’s not far from home. I love craft beer. The gentleman at store was very knowledgeable about all the beers in the store. I told him what sort of beers I liked & he selected a bunch for me to try. I liked all the beers he recommended! Also, if you live within a certain radius of the store they will deliver for free for minimum order of £35.”

“Fantastic concept. Essentially an artisan off-licence which also operates as a bar. It’s stylish, friendly, spacious and stocked with a great range of homemade bottled cocktails and home brand gins in different sizes. We bought a small bottle of the grapefruit gin and he served it with some Mediterranean Fevertree Tonic, garnished with a grapefruit slice. He also sells some locally sourced antipasti options which looked fabulous.”

“This is an exceptional restaurant. An absolute all rounder. We came here first because of the google reviews. Our first visit was in November 2024 and we were slightly worried we’d made a mistake as we observed the unfancy (but beautifully kept!) interior, and particularly spied the speakers on arrival. However, the entertainment (Tom Jones) turned out to be great fun, and the food was a revelation. I then went back for Whitney Houston night in January 2025 and the entertainment blew me away. And after a very tough Christmas, the food soothed my soul, and my girlfriends and I came away delighted. In summary: Great italian food is hard to find in London, and now having tried nearly everything on the menu by taking exclusive hire of the restaurant for a big birthday, I can confidently say that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in London. We booked the Whitney gals and they blew everyone away with their talent and joie de vivre. Quite simply, go here asap.”

“A Perfect Sunday Surprise! We dropped into Dawat on a Sunday night without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming — attentive without being intrusive. The food was absolutely excellent — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, there was a fantastic live band playing, which gave the evening an extra spark. Between the great food, friendly service, and the bonus live music, it turned into one of those spontaneous nights you don’t forget. A great end to our Diwali celebrations! Highly recommend!”

“What an incredible find! If you're looking for genuine Italian food made with passion, this is the place. The homemade lasagna, straight from a family recipe, was absolute perfection—rich, flavourful, and clearly made with love. The wine list was superb, and our server's recommendation was the perfect pairing. We finished with a fantastic dessert that was the ideal end to the meal. The best part was seeing the owner in the kitchen, pouring his heart into the food. That passion is the secret ingredient. We're already planning our next visit!”

“Pistachios In The Park is simply one of the most charming, friendliest cafes that clearly takes no shortcuts in serving delicious food of the highest quality. Set in formal, tree-lined garden housing a naval burial site, playground and community centre, the cafe is ideallic for those who want a peaceful ambience. Make no mistake, due to its popularity, it can get very busy but you'll be spolied for choice with space as much as you will with what's on the menu. Ran by husband and wife team, Gary and Victoria and their wonderful team, you can rest assured you'll be met with a warm welcome, fun banter, and chit chat like youre one of the locals, (Even if you're not.) I personally come for the cooked full English breakfast but there is plenty of choice on offer! Everything from sweet pastries, more savoury snacks, all of which are homemade, delicious salads and variety of hot and cold beverages to wash it down with. All the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. If you fancy something that might not be obviously on the menu, the team will endeavour to make it for you (within fair reason, of course) If you've not yet visited Pistachios in the Park cafe, and you want someting a little away from the regular side of Greenwich, with exemplary quality, this is your spot. You wont regret it!”

“Lovely little place! I found them on Instagram and after seeing the daily cakes etc posted on there I had to check them out. I went on a Saturday morning, sat outside and had a lovely brunch (Eggs Benedict) and chatted to a couple of ladies outside whilst we all had coffee too. I then treated myself to an amazing cake that I took home for later! Service and food was great. I plan to go back tomorrow morning :)”

“A really lovely pub. We like to eat inside and love the decor. Staff are super friendly and service excellent. (Server was Cello; last time we came it was Poppy- both lovely as was everyone else.) Four of us are vegetarian and chose very nice dishes (carrot soup; hummus dish; pimientos de Padrón; veggie wellington; goats cheese salad; fish and chips. We also love the soda bread.) “I pop in whenever I’m in Beckenham, usually just for a drink. My last visit was impromptu and decided to have something to eat. What I really like about this place it’s exactly how a pub should be. It’s clean, comfortable with a good selection of drinks. The staff are all so friendly and make you feel welcome. Proper pub food, done really well and exceptional value for money. Great to see a traditional pub still thriving. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone!”

The food is out of this world I always say there’s always an aspect of a meal that can let you down. But this place was amazing at every point the food was unreal.
